Will we be seeing this BPO released in RMR?
In a followup to the last devchat, we were told that it would be released with Kali - but IIRC this was before kali was publicly seperated from RMR.
Us POS runners would be heavily assisted by this mod, right now it just takes too many trips with tech1 expanders... and the moon mineral market will be exploding with RMR's t2 ships. ---------------------------- T2 Destroyers: a proposal Requested Changes: An alphabet's worth |

I want one just to see the complaints of impel pilots.
80m/s - 105m/s = -25m/s, enter the pilot skill of flying your impel backwards. \o/ ------------- Where are the named 800mm Plates and Mega Ions, CCP?

Cap charger 2s will still make more money than expanders. The expanders will probably have worse speed penalties than the good named/local ones, with the only difference being that they'll be more common.
In short, t2 epanders will be like t2 railguns/gauss guns. Minor difference, named one is rarer, more expensive, eaiser to fit/use. ------------------------------------
Quote: 1 Billion isk currently sells on ebay for about $225 90 day GTC $38.95 Currently selling for 300mill
Therefore 1Bill isk costs you $129.50.

In the world of instas speed is a small issue :P

Ironically I think that they would make the impel untouchable.
I highly doubt they would reduce speed to negative numbers (that would generate erros out hte wazoo), so it would probably reduce speed to the lowest manageable value... 1.
Now Remember Eve doesnt use floating point to determine speeds, its all integer... so If you enter warp at 3/4 of max speed and your max speed is one... and the system can only count to 1 using integers... Thats a disgusting little instawarp there.
*snip* That's not very appropriate. - Teblin |

I can't find the post at the moment but somewhere on the forums someone stuck cargo expanders in the low slots of a Revelation Dreadnaught, the result was -19m/s as a top speed. (I think it was in the ideas forum to do with frieghters and mining ops)

Yet another reason instas are pretty lame. Nothing like making a galaxy small as hell by going form one side to the other in maybe an hour. ------------------------------------

Show me how you do this even with instas.

Well to be technical there is a rim of smuggler gates around the rim of 0.0 which shortens the trip considerably. You arent taking the direct route across, but its still getting from 1 side to the other.

You can indeed get a negative top speed. However in space the negative value is set to 0.
So you cannot move, not warp, not do anything as long as you have a negative top speed.
You can turn off the expanders to get back to a positive value and begin move/warp.

Wow, so many totally incorretct responses to this thread.
No, instas aren't being changed.
T2 cargo expanders will have a % effect on speed, not a static one. So you won't have - speed when they're fitted.

Hmm if you got it exactly though so you had a max speed of 1m/s wouldnt you instawarp anywhere due to the rounding issue?

Do you have anything official backing this up? In the item database they're still listed as having -15 m/s speed penalty, and the penalty on t1 and basic expanders has always been static.

Imagine if one of your instas was a few km off, or someone bumps you off a gate __________________ Retard's handbook |

t2 exp should be in market via npc traders, if someone get BPO = king of universe, it`s overbuff ) ccp should be more loyal to new pilots, or unlucky lime me, sitting on the station no ships, no money, no nothing only skills and pvp experience...

Since you need Indy 5 skill for the Impel, and prolly have high Navigation too, I am sure the thing will go faster than 105 by default, so no negative speed issue there. And why should T2 expanders have a % speed modifier when all the others have an absolute one?

Perhaps a higher number of BPOs might work. As in, over 100.
Doubt they would do it though.
