raven is the ultamate ship for lvl 4's,...by a lot
but, i have galante/minmatar BS skill 3 and Gun skills 3
i recently tested a typhoon,...it's Dps was around that of my destroyers,..actual Dps..~10-15
what ship/loadout can I use without having to train a new race + missle skil's

one of my corpmates can solo lvl4's with a tempest and shield tanking...i dunno the setup...but it works like magic...

Bah, I am soloing lvl 4 missions with my trusty APOC.
Doing Angel Extravaganza atm...
Takes forever, but works. :)

use a dom with heavy drones,6*250mm rails, 2x LAR, 4 hardners and the rest cap recharge
works very well

i feel with no dmg mod's the dmg from such guns would be very low

I would have to say the machariel is the best level 4 mission runner and the tempest is a close second..

Raven does it for me.
It took a bit of time to retrain after the missile nerf but now i have the skills trained up I am back doing lvl 4's solo again.
The only difference is it takes slightly longer than before.

Hi, I thought I'd just echo the thoughts on the Raven. I tried my Apoc but lost it (foolishly) thinking I could happily tank the damage dished out in a drone mission and zap away with my Mega pulses. Boy was I wrong. Raven is by far the easiest way to do Lvl 4's assuming you have the skills. I'm back to my Raven. yes it's a pain grabbing the loot afterwards but hey can't have everything. Fly out to 100K and just let rip with the Torps!

Singles with AM. The damage is indeed rather low, but consider that :
1. drones are your main damage dealer
2. There are far more cruisers and frigs to be killed and the 250'ies hit cruisers even up close.
I've experimented with dual 250'ies and larger guns but the duals are the largest guns you can fit a full rack of and their dps does not compensate for the lower hit probability.
For some missions with sentries far from the warp in point i do fit as many 350'ies as possible to take these out.
