Let it be known that the system of Olfeim is the Sovereignty of the Minmatar Republic and is NOT owned by Purgatorial Janitors Inc. as they like to claim.
Electus Matari have found them aggressively tackling users of the system and demanding fees be payed for safe passage. Finding this extortion disgusting and only a step away from piracy, I ventured to see this for my own eyes with a small elite group of comrades. Unsurprisingly I was assaulted by a member of PJI and my wingmen came to my call as the PJI sent in backup.
In a brief military exercise we had destroyed their battleship and cruisers without loss, and made a point that illegal acts of extortion and piracy will not be tolerated in the Minmatar Republic. Olfeim is free and open space and members of the Minmatar Republic should not bend to these acts of extortion and theft.
I ask regular users of the system to be wary, and for loyal protectors of the Republic to watch over their fellow Matari and stand up to these people when and where they strike.

I claimed a system once, called Rorsins. I killed every mother****** who got in my way. Purgatorial janitors have the right idea.

I'm sure I speak for all in my corporation, and others who frequent that system on a daily basis, when I say thank you for your efforts. Our "dealings" with PJI have been less than stellar and your efforts to teach them a lesson are greatly appreciated.

You should believe in your own power to be a war machine yourself. To not engage them and give them a fight is to be a victim.

I was approached by the leader last night, and again he was asking all who came in to pay a fee in order to be safe. He tried to attack me while mining. I was able to leave unharmed with both my cruiser, and miner. I warned all in the sytem to be aware, and NOT to pay them.
He did not really respond to the beating they suffered, but rather said that some of his 'newbish' members were ambushed. I laughed in his face, and asked him to read the eve forums.
I still warn all who venture there to watch for PJI members.
Thans again for teaching them a lesson.

I've personally never had the displeasure of having them try to extort me yet... suffice to say I would not be handing over anything to them...
But I've heard reports of another corporation in that system now too also doing much of the same thing. While I realize it is a 0.4, it is still not as "safe" as other systems like it in the area. |

No low security system is really safe. The key issue here is that Olfeim is within the sovereignty of the Minmatar Republic and cannot be claimed. Demanding ransoms in Republic space is an act of piracy. The janitors have already had a taste of what happens to pirates.
Speaking unofficially, for now, I would strongly recommend that these attacks on Republic Citizens cease.
