I talked to a few other of my friends who either used to play eve, or haven't ever played eve but are gamers in general and they said they'd be done for partying with some other gamers in Vegas (like we really need a reason). So yah, count on 3-4 people from the sunflower state.
Back to the top with you mr. thread.
Can we seriously get some stickiness on this thread for a little while?

I support this idea, mostly because I turn 21 in January and planned to goto Vegas at some point next year because of that fact anyways.

I would love to come, but I can't say for certain that I *will* come.
It would depend on what my college schedule was like at the time, and also, what my financial situation was like at the time...
But we'll see, I will certainly try to make it if the event takes place.

Las Vegas = everyone can fly to it relatively cheaply... has gambling (as well as under 18 areas)... and is close to GDC.

One thought comes to mind here... In Mississippi, one cannot get into a casino unless they are over 21, because of the liberal dispersement of alcohol... Is it the same way in Nevada? Not that I think this event would be held in a casino or anything, but just dont want some of the young-uns to have expectations of pwning the card sharks at the poker table in Circus Circus.

You are not allowed to loiter around the casino if you are under age. I think if you ahd a reserved area for an occasion it shouldn't be a problem though. If this coincides with my school's break and I can convince my gf in some manner i'm there. Would be much more convienient somewhere closer to midwest (Missouri here) but Vegas is to fun to ignore.

I will be there, I can't pass up dirty freaks and umbrella drinks.
I went this past year with some PPL/HDY guys and had a blast.
Ya gotta love Vegas, especially the free booze, god bless casinos

hmmm my only concern is that its on a wedsnday and thursday.... middle of the week, ill have either school or work, why not say the 17th and 18th? : D sat and sun would be PERFECT : P... but in all honest is there a reason for this?

we plan to include two nights of rooms for all whom attend in the package..and two days of events and party and all for around 200 to 249.95 and people get there own transportation...
we even have a lower priced package if you want to book your own rooms...
depending on the amount of attendees we plan to get rooms for all paid attendees in advance at one or possibly two hotels...
the MGM has over 1300 rooms... if we book 500 in advanced to come we will require at least two hotels...
we expect to include most cost except travel and your "party" money in the price of the event....
the no frills - you get a room and all that stuff for the event we hope to price out at around $99 dollars...
please remember until we fly the site and confirm all parts of such a large event, all this is tentative to change and none of this should be considered set in stone...though we are fairly on track for anything we posted here...
our reward will be when we get 500+ to attend and amassed in one eVe event....

yes there is a reason...several actually
one ..if we are able to have CCP attend then need time to go from our event to GDC...
two - all cost for said events doubles if not triples on fri sat and sunday for anything in las vegas...
having and event of this magnitude raises the cost across the bord for all involved if done on any weekend day in vegas...
so we kill two birds with one stone..
we lower cost for you and also allow the weekend to enjoy vegas if you choose or have enough time to travel to san jose for GDC....
part of all this is that if your in vegas your most likely wanting to do more then just this event....:):)

This is actully a great idea gives all those who missed Fanfest this year another chance 
i could consider going there i guess id have to see america atleast once in my lifetime hehe

Just talked with the wife hehe... There is an 80% chance i'll be able to come and thats alway from Seoul South Korea.
Turns out,
cost to go to Evefanfest in iceland ~3000 USD
cost to go to Las Vegas fanfest ~ 900 USD
absoultely amazing really.

SOund like a good idea m8 I live over in Boulder city so its like a 30 min drive. I was kinda bummed that I couldnt go to fan fest but this might make up for it.

Just like to let you guys know that this falls during March Madness. Hotels are ridiculously expensive compared to mid-week prices during non-peak times. I know, I go every year for the Madness.
From what Vegas employees told us, this is the 2nd busiest time of the year, next to the Super Bowl weekend.
So, if you guys decide that this still is the time you wanna have it, book now! If you wait until January to book, prices will begin to skyrocket. In fact, the normally cheap Imperial Palace is already $110 for Wed night and $170 for Thu night. It's usually about $50-70 mid-week.
Just lettin you guys know to expect large crowds, expensive prices on hotels, and a great time if you're a college basketball fan.

Well I suppose someone would have to represent the southern haters club, so as long as things work out in rl I'd show up for such and event. Only one problem I will still be 20 at the time so I cant drink legally or gamble legally. Stupid laws. /emote gets out his fake.

Wife will come to but she likes the slots alot better then Eve. But that's fine with me.
