ok the basics of the idea are this: its getting more diffuilt to purchase items at reasonable prices so why not offer a ccp rental service
so long as the player has the skills and the isk he can rent rather than buy at a nominal fee per day then when he has finished so long as no damage done he returns the good and gets his isk back minus the rental fee. if the player sells or destroys the ship in battle then he automatically loses his deposit +cost of ship and maybe a small fine. this gives more of an opportunity and will same a lot of time when looking for items or ships just to do one quick job.
anyone have any suggestions on this matter on whether they think it would or wouldnt work.

sounds like a "I Win" button. part of the game is having to barter, buy, trade, con and steal what you need to get the job done?
This suggestion would circumvent this wouldnt it ? TotensBurntCorpse Likes EVE, Starfleet Command Series, Earth & Beyond, Anything Battlefield, MOHAA, Call of Duty.

Well, there is a player version of your idea already Ray. I'm not sure if they're still in business, but check the older Corporation and Alliance Summit threads for one with the ticker PDFC in the title. Those guys rent mining barges, but not any other ship types atm if I remember correctly. I'm also not 100% on how they screen applicants, but they must have some kind of security protocols in place.
EDIT - btw, I think the idea is a good one. There is currently no way to slowly pay down the ownership cost of a ship, which I guess would be "leasing", but I also think that adding CCP rental options would kill the player economy a bit.

im talking a ccp setup not for players to rent but in general im aiming at the noob as its getting to the point that some wont have a hope in hells chance of making it, great when a game starts then those get head stay ahead but in eve seems that the noob is struggling fast ships are now ridicuously priced against their market base prices shown?
