Good luck. I pity anyone buying a CU Vapor Bore for millions right now with Miner 2s around the corner, potentially as pirate drops.

if they are rare pirate drops they wont drive down the cu vapor prices, people will try to sell for top doller, limited producers will keep the price high to make profit. only way they would kill the prices is if blueprints pop on the market for 3-10 million.

as a side note, questionable when if ever miner 2 bp would be on market. if they were planning to put them out soon, its curious why they would be giving out bpc and not orignals right now. other then making copies, but with so little time there would be so few copies made it would be minimal effect. |

Possibly because it gave the people that received the BPCs enough time to more than compensate them for the "loss" of the tech 5 miner by selling the items? Giving them a BP which they could copy and sell would have been massive overkill.

It's already overkill! The level 5 mining laser was a big mistake. The fix should have been net zero to all parties involved... buyer gets money back, minig laser goes back to Jove space, etc. To have introduced anything else into the equation was incredibly shortsighted and damaging to the game. So many people lost interest in Eve and lost faith in CCP that it's borderline tragic.

I still would not pay 5 million for a laser, or even one million. Right now not only can you get miner 1s by drop, you can get rares by drop. Sure it's not easy, but you find lots of XeCLs and the like even if CUs are hard to find. When level 2 becomes the standard, the rat loot drops will include named minter 2s just like right now they have named miner 1s. Why bother buying a miner 2 when they will be the COMMON rat loot drop, and the named ones will appear too?

I am sure that once the level 2 equivalent of the CU Vapor starts being found as a rare, those will start selling for millions again.
