The way I understand it: if a bid occurs in the last 10 minutes of the auction, then it adds 10 min to the end of the auction. Each bid after the official end of the auction within the sniper rule time, then 10 minutes is added on from the time of the last bid.

So the sniper rule does not add 10 min to the end of the auction, just to the last bid? Thats not how the sniper rule is explained, but it's your auction. The sniper rule is activated if a bid occurs in the "sniper rule amount of time" at the end of the auction, then that much time should be added to the end of the auction, not jsut to the last bid. The bid that set off the sniper rule occured during official auction time so you cannot go from that point on.....

sniper rule is normally item specific and adds the amount of time (quoted as the sniper time) to the the last bid made on that item... its not a blanket allowance to bid beyond the end of the auction ... in that case why not make the auction end later ???
the way this auction was handled is correct... your bid on 4 came 11 minutes after the last bid on 4 ...which makes it invalid with a sniper rule of 10 minutes...

So the sniper rule takes effect *before* the end of an auction? In this case, it should have added 10 minutes to the end of the auction, then if any bids were placed in that 10 minutes it should take place like you state above...
But it's BloodRayne2's auction, and I guess he can run it anyway he sees fit...
