the stats i've seen show carriers with freighter like cargo holds. are carriers going to face the same restrictions that freighters do? or are people going to be able to move stuf in and out of its "hangers" in space

The cargohold stats for the carriers on sisi atm show just over 3k cargospace.
Im guessing what you've seen was a placeholder.

3k isnt that much... like an indy...
they will need it for fts big ammo and jump fuel...

The cargo bay is overloaded and cannot be made to fit Expanded Cargohold I.
It is currently only capable of fitting 8772.12 units and it is currently jammed full with 9558.33 units. |

ok but aren't these things supposed to be able to hold ships? so the corprate hanger array or whever its called in these things has to have a sugnificant amount of space

Read the blog.
carriers have mobile ship repair and corp hanger functions. ie they will have huge holds.

Fly a Titan to a belt 0.0 belt, have your alliance buddies mine the belt clean of Crokite, with an indy just need to pick up ore > insta dock > repeat in matter of seconds.
Titan might not have cargo holds itself, but hangers are just as good.

No objection here. Titans cost 50billion and you'd have to jump the Titan to a refinery, and a single corporate hangar array is the same capacity as a POS Intensive refinery - ie it'll fill up very quickly.

so your saying the array in a carrier is 200k m3? if so thats still very nice.
