It's a reasonable approach to cash in all your stuff for sub time, since you can't get the cash back, but you still get meaningful value from it, which is a few months or a year or however long to rebuild. If I were going to reset in EvE, I'd do it this way.
You should come back in a month or three and let us know how it went. |

Before you do that have you done everything in Eve already? I mean even trying things that don't seem so appealing to you? I did make an alt once that was my evil twin, unfortunately I couldn't afford to keep her, but I had a blast while it lasted.
It may be more fun to actually buy a new char that is trained differently than you are just to shake things up a bit :).

Still work it as long as you were using a basic T1 frigate. Assuming the OP hasn't done the Career missions more than once, he can do them 8 more times. Boring yes, but they're worth 17mil plus sales from all the extra crap you get given. Each.
EDIT: Plus you get a reasonable selection of ships from each race.
If you don't avoid Jita, none of the career hubs are more than 11 jumps from each other. |

It can be fun. This character, for example, is an alt I started a while back for a "fresh start" style of gameplay. I strictly refuse to fund his activities from my old main.
And I've come to enjoy him more, oddly enough. So yeah, I suggest the "make a new main" route, rather than sell all your stuff. If that floats your boat, then please, consider making a donation to my wallet. :P

Well yeah , being a Noob while game was still not dumbed down was the best part of this game.
Now everything is given on a silver platter to carter new wave of instant gratification players. I feel sorry for them.
