- HP Pavilion ze2000z Customizable NB - Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Home Edition with SP2 - AMD Turion(TM) 64 ML-28 (1.6GHz/512KB L2 Cache) - 15.0" TFT XGA BrightView (1024x768) - ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/productivity ports - 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB) - 60 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive - DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive - 54g(TM) 802.11b/g WLAN w/ 125HSM/SpeedBooster(TM) - 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Whole thing costs like $1150 after rebate, it seems very expensive to me, but I scoured the net and could not find a better price for these specs. I think the HDD is the weak link, at only 4200 RPM, but I think the rest of the system can compensate.
What you guys think?

Aye, not a bad laptop that, but unfortunately 4200 rpm for a HDD is generally a standard for off-the-shelf machine, desktop or not.
That's why im building my own, and the master drive is 10,000 rpm
MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *cough*
But yeah, eve will run sweet as nut.

You wont get a 10k rpm 2.5" drive for a laptop tho.... Unless its some exotic SCSI thing...
I've seen eve running in 1024x768 on a P3 733 with 384mb ram and a GeForce 2MX, so that will own EVE in your max res (1024x768) :) (\_/) (O.o) (> <) |

Yeah, WD Raptor 10ks are shweet (i have 2)
But, ive got a sweet little WD 5400rpm on my lappie, it helps a bit with the abysmal laptop HD speeds. ------------- Where are the named 800mm Plates and Mega Ions, CCP?
