Guys, I am trying to run a l4 mission. It is taking my modules a good 10 seconds per click to catch up in activation. This is extremely dangerous, and I need to know if others are experiencing this kind of lag at the moment? If not, I know it is a problem on my end, and I can work to fix it before doing these missions.
Not a whine, just a simple ask. Are people getting a lot more lag than the norm right now on Tranq? And I only have 15 people in my system at the moment, so unless they are all copying thousands of bookmarks, they are not to blame.

Has anyone found their hardeners to turn off with the UI saying other wise? Though I doubt there is a way to prove this happened, but I think it just did. |

I felt i was taking more damage than I should, but as you said, there is no way to tell. Could always try showing info on ship, or simply checking your logs. If you see npc friggies dealing 90 dmg a hit on 50% hardened shields, you know there is a problem.
The lag kinda made it hard to tell what was happening. Surprised I managed to finish that Vengence L4 solo with all that lag, even after the entire 1st spawn decided to aggro me after my lagged out drones attacked them..... ------------------------------------------ Dreadnought Production INC is recruiting Join DPI Channel Or Visit (IGB) http://www.mmorpg-online.net/intro.html |

US Player here - Central Time Zone. When I logged on there were less than 10K players on and the game is running very, very poorly. The lag is horrendous. Jumping through a gate takes 15-20 seconds. I fully expect to see it crash again when the user level gets a bit higher in a few hours just as it did yesterday. It's a shame.....nonetheless.

Yep,I've just had to abandon a lvl 4 mission,I've been disconnected well over a dozen times attempting it.The final time I managed to log back in to a flaming Apoc, with under 40% structure left.
So i headed back to the station to put on some hull repairers and fix things up.Result? You guessed it,I undocked and lagged out again. The state of the server is pathetic at the minute.I've seen patchdays be easier to play on than this.

I'm looking into this now. One of our proxy servers is at 100% CPU load, that might be the cause. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |

I have disabled new connections to the proxy. If you are experiencing lag. Try to reconnect and see if you get rid of the lag. If you get the message "Not available" try to reconnect. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |

Perhaps one of the major internet backbones is down and that 100% CPU load proxy was the only way left for many people to connect to EVE. So disabling new connections on it prevented people from even seeing TQ

Aww man. I logged out to change characters and now I'm getting "Not availible" every time I start the client.
Oh hey.. it's logging in fine. Wierd that. If it says Not availible, try logging in anyway.

US Eastern here. I've had 3 disconnects in the last 2 hours, and lag was really bad up to about 30 min ago. I got over 30s of black screen when undocking in Otela. Now, tho, it seems to have gotten better. FYI, my problems do not crop up until I hit 62.154.5.38.

We have killed the affected proxies. The 100% CPU load was because of abnormal startup of the proxy. A couple of other proxies started behaving strangely a little while later, but that was unrelated. Everything *should* be resolved now. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |

Thats strange, since myeve/forums is on the same network as TQ. But if you are both unable to reach TQ and Sisi, that would be a totally unrelated problem to the proxy issues we experienced today. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |

# do my eyes decieve me or has a dev responsed to an issue about lag. i was under the impression that they thought lag was in a pvpers imagination as it does not show in there logs.
maybe they are seeing the error of there ways due to the amount of longterm players leaving to the bury there heads in the sand attitude which is the normal response and all pvp losses are due to stupidity and not lag or bugs.
Where there is trouble you will always find AGGRO |

Edited by: Lenil Star on 03/12/2005 17:23:28 I'm lagging like hell especially using the market, making people's avatar's showing up in bio's,etc the game actually freezes for a few seconds while avatars are loading.
And what's this 2 minute wait during pre-authenticating handshake?
This wasn't the case before, anyawyas I hope it will be fixed ;-p

My problem isn't a lag issue. I can't even get a ping response from the server's IP.
