Can I possiblly ask that the main skill req be reduced from propulsion jamming V to level IV, it seems a bit steep as a skill requirement as cloaking modules for covert ops cloak only required lvl 4 cloaking.
Also, I believe the ship description lacks the skill bonus for reducing the cpu need of the sphere launchers to be able to be equipped by interdictors currently as at 3761.
Otherwise looks nice, fires 20k range warp disruption probes every 240secs (base) which last for 4 mins with a -1 strength i presume. cant be used in the empire.

well isn't propultion jamming V a requirement for the ships themselfs?
also the way I understand the bubbles they will work identicly to the bubbles we have now. in other words you get in one of these bubbles no amount of stabs is going to let you warp out

So... they go off right in the vicinity of the interdictor (Oveur said they warp jam you too), they're only -1, and they can't be used in empire. With interdictor l5 they'll be able to launch one every 3 minutes.
Totally useless then, basically? I was figuring they'd be remote, like a missile - which be why the interdictors have so many missile points - you could swoop in, say 20-30k from the enemy fleet, and fire a couple of salvos each from 2-3 launchers to put up 4-6 bubbles in their blob, which they would have to scatter away from. As it is, you'll fire say 2 of them off (even if you can fit two!) and then clear datum with your speed, while everyone else laughs as they also move out the way, and you cant fire more for 3.5 minutes (who's gonna have the skill to l5?). Stabbed stuff will still be laughing, oh, and if your main combat is in empire, you can't use them, no matter how useful they'd be for a damn merc corp! Rubbish. ---:::---

/me also unchecks Interdictors from the list of stuff to look forward to as someone exclusively fighting Empire wars
Anything left?

Comparing it to the Cov Ops cloak is wrong, as that's T2, and as far as I know the Interdiction Launcher will be T1. It's more like comparing the requirement for Electronics V for Cloaking Devices. __________________ Retard's handbook |

as i said to you in the ooc channel, it is still a destroyer with 7 guns, no RoF penatly and a bonus instead which will be awesome in such a role.

a) Without the unique ability, why pay the extra over a thrasher though? It's still pretty good at hurting people with alphastrike, and a million times more disposable. Same argument goes for a Wolf, tbh. b)Thats only the damn Sabre anyway, what about people flying the Eris/Heretic? ---:::---

I was just staring at the launcher, but anyway, drawing comparison again to the skill req's used for covert ops frigates which required mainly electronic upgrades V, cloaking lvl 4, frigate lvl 5 for using the ship & cloak, compared to Evasive Maneuvering Level V, Interceptors Level IV, Destroyers Level V, propulsion jamming lvl 5, astrometrics lvl 3 to use the interdictor and launcher.
I cannot see propulsion jamming on the skill req for interdictors as at 3761.
If they are normal warp bubbles, that will be very sweet indeed.

You choose not to experience that part of the game, yet you complain that it's there? I don't mine, but you don't see me whining that they're making T2 Barges. __________________ Retard's handbook |

5% Dmg and 7.5% tracking per lvl, 7 T2 turrets on a T2 ship with such resists, people cant say it is not lethal (moreso than a AF), partially castrated perhaps until such time as warp bubbles might be operational in the empire (doubtful) perhaps a secondary bonus to come in its place such as a web bonus might be welcome.

We don't need a bloody flyswatter we need tools for more tactical combat (like Carriers and Interdictors that... interdict), too, ffs.

Errr. You're unhappy with the tactical possibilities supplied by instantly deployable warp bubbles?

You should be able to deploy them in empire. They'd be the equivalent of a 20km "smart" bomb. I dont' know about you but I would find it funny

No, they should be configurable so that they only interdicy war targets.
This should be possible.
I also think they should be like a bubble. Many people use stabs, -1 warp strength is
I'm also unchecking this from my list of things to train. It seems theres the usual gap between ideas and execution

Simple solution to that then is to remove empire space altogether!

If they have a scramble strength it should be -3. -1 is far too little, and -5 is getting to be a bit much perhaps. Introduce them to the game with -3 CCP!
Then up them to -5 or -7 later
(or just go infinite scramble immediately)

Yes i would also like to see where the -1 warp has just come from. These work like normal bubble but have a limited lifespan and have a smaller radius than deployable bubbles. There is no warp scramble strength limitation as far as i know.

I also cannt find any reference to the -1 strength.
Also, why shouldn't it require propulsion jamming 5? This will be a very powerful ship, it makes sense that you have to specialize a little to use it.

I thought that these ships wouldn't be overpowered, but they would fill a great tactical niche. With only -1, that ain't gonna happen. With a 'proper' bubble, they'd become more useful

it is the launcher itself that requires the propulsion jamming lvl 5, not the ship. I am purely basing this on skill points required between a T2 frigate such as covert ops and interdictors.

-1 strength does seem a little... low. Personally I'd think -1 per level of interdictor would be about right.

ignore the -1 stuff, I originally thought and said 'it was -1 i presume' but in fact its a normal warp disruption bubble which stops anyone warping until they are outside it. Which is much better anyway.

why do they make the bubbles as smart as the smartbomb?

There have to be routines in place already that check if someone is an enemy involved in a sanctioned Concord war. Why can't these bloody spheres just work on war targets in Empire space then? No room to grief and yet a tool for tactical combat for the redheaded stepchildren of CCP - the roleplayers fighting Empire wars, and some of them fiercly and since EVE went live.
