If you do too many agent missions, your faction with some other races decreases. I have -4.00 with the caldari from doing ~850 missions for the gallente.

Edited by: Boneca on 13/08/2003 08:37:18 Do faction/corp rating actually mean anything tho?. I have high negative rating with all the NPC pirate factions/corporations and yet i can still use there stations with no problems. I have caused these factions to lose billions of isk worth of ships and equipment and suffer no detrimental effect in the game, the blood raiders where even nice enough to let me rent a corp office in one of their stations. This strikes me as a very basic yet vital part of the game play that has been greatly overlooked. It has allowed for very rapid progression of players and corps which just should not have been possible, where would all the alliances be if they couldn't use the stn's owned by NPC factions/corps in the space they control because they where destroying these factions/corps property on a regular basis?
Pontential, potential it's all i hear lets start to realise some of it

Factions mean nothing (as far as I can tell affecting us) other than the -2.0 point.
Below that you are kos to the faction drones (ie: Minmater Navy, Amarr *scum* Security, Gallente navy etc)
If you have neg to pirates below -2.0 (I do to and have entered Stain Sancha space... but not sure if I have >-1.99 Sancha - I believe I do at -4 or 5... Angels... -9.8 or so atm.) I would expect their navy to target you if they patrol - but I don't recall ever (in my limited experience) seeing such a navy.
You can have -10.0 sec AND race faction and dock at an empire's station in 1.0. The navy may fire at you but them stations don't give a hoot.

If one is careful and keeps an eye on their factions, they can switch to a less damaging agent when it gets too low, and then wait for the neg status to go away. (Neg status raises towards 0 at 0.1 per day) ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |
