i was there :)
everybody was shoting everybody...... the last man standing kill ouria and gather the loot. Mass was killing everyone that was trying to get closh to cargo conteiners.....
20+ BS where just the mass... camping the stargate when the eveny was over :(
we agre that we leave in 15 min or they will kill us :)
50+ bs total...
if you dont have 15-20+ Bs you where history :)
this was a mega corp event 
as a photografer i get shot in 3 sec..
i warp to sun and 20 BS with 5+drone each was fighting...
i left with 3% life i got a bleu screen of death restart my pc and i was alive...
but all screen shot die .... i cliar eve to play again battle over...

well lets just look at things from instinct point of view.
you are in your HQ system. there is jove loot up for grabs. you have lots of firepower. you can:
A: let some newbie corp-pilot snatch up a 1.5bil isk miner 2 print
or
B: blow up anyone in sight to secure your grasp on rare loot
i would take choice "B".
there arent many good samaritans in eve.

Well just got done reading this topic and had to post a reply. Just as many have posted before I will post again.
I am a paying subscriber to this game and enjoy playing it very much, but seems to me that most of these events are so far off limits to me and my ill equipped cruiser.
Im also sure many people that pay for this game on a monthly basis feel the same way.
Everytime I read a post about something like these events it ruins the whole content portion of the game they were trying to create except for the seleted people that can participate because of status and power.
Now I do think they need to schedule smaller held events for the smaller corps than can at least try to take down maybe a smaller jovian ship or frigate to gain an advantage to the bigger corps and main point being TO HAVE FUN. Sure theirs content but its not doing the majority of players any good still.

In other MMO's events are held in places where people can go freely and participate, not in places where groups supposedly control the entry to.

hehe i did not get closh to eny cargo... i just warp in hide next to big BS and take screenshot... one mass lock on me and start shoting at me...
is ok i know this will happend... but give a break to people that are alone...
if you got the BP and run in the stargate they where 15-20 mass BS or rus :PPP
so you kill him or not, you take the BP or not
stain aliense will take the BP copy... they must have 4-5 of them for sure...
the other must be taken by the laky people that kill the 10milions jove before we enter the staion region
it was fun we hunt down the jove 5-6 system
and they try to hide in stain region...
the screenshot i took that have 15-20 bs killing each other for the loot and the bouty is f@cking greit... nice background for a wile

Well its a tricky one isnt it - but it certainly made things interesting. I missed the actual battle by about 10 minutes (damn work) I arrived to find the system crawling with BattleShips from the Stain Alliance who were... less than friendly. But I did run the blockade in black Bird and escape and it was damn tense doing it. Alot of the people involved were in cruisers. Admitedly SA got the goods on this one - but the whole thing was great fun. And it allowed alot of interesting things to happen (the SA to show their true colours by killing innocents and journalists for instance).
I think you will find events cropping up all over - not just in places like this - the Amarrian assasination was in Chaven (u cant get much safer than that) and only involved one BS. And immediatly after the Jove battle I saw a small Poloaris event kicking off from the bounty channle (3 missions for individual or small groups of pirates) - this was running almost similtanously with the Jovian event.
If all the events were newbie freindly wouldnt it be just as annoying for the major corps? You cant expect to be involved in all the events. Im sure something will come along that will suit everyone at some point. Just be glad that we are getting the content everyone wanted.
(i had to laugh I saw some guy complaining that there were now too many events - proving I guess that you can never please everyone!).

true colors?. It was in Stain and we were the acting like the amarr navy would do against minmarta terrorists...killing them all :)

btw.. to all those "MASS killed me without reason"
if u are in 0.0 space trying to get something that everyone else wants then only a stupid fool would think he isnt going to get shot when he goes near the cc. U will survive alot more if u warp out as soon as someone targets u instead of just sitting there crying "he is shooting me". And if u wernt prepared to lose your frigate/cruiser/battleship then u shouldnt of come.
Just b4 the event started we were told by a dev that we were "seriously outgunned", but did u see us running?..no.. we were all prepared to lose our cruisers/battleship's, and some of us did, and an apoc battleship is alot harder to replace than a little frigate or cruiser

Thank you Badiron, this is quiet a good account of what people whopuld have seen. Perhaps I can add a little detail so that it can be seen in perspective.
SA had been in high alert for several days. The first few fights had not been what I had expected, which was that the Jovians would be hidden and spread out in Stain. The we heard on the news that the Jovians were bringing other Corps to support their attack.
At about this time Rus appeared in Stain and a running fight started. Were we really facing 5 Jovian BS, plus an unknown number of PC players helping them, and of course RUS who were now appearing in numbers?
Reports from scouts soon confirmed this was the case. THe Jovians were on the way, and they had a large force with them, and the map confirmed that others were also moving in to join thier main force.
At this point started issuing warning to non allience people to move away as we had no way of knowing who was friend or foe. The large Jovian large fleet arrived very quickly and the fight started. AS people have said, it was chaos, at least 50 ships on the screen - the Jovians showed up as threats, but not their large group of irregulars.
We had to fire on anyone we did not know, and I will accept that bystanders were probably hurt. This was not a play fight, BSs were being one shotted and incoming fire from unidentified ships was intense.
As the Jovians went down it became clear that their helpers were now more interested in collecting the CCs than continuing the role playing. AS invaders and looters we did indeed continue to attack them at the CCs.
As we got this situation under control, RUS were now a serious threat. They were in a large fleet and moving in for the kill. We still had some of the original attack fleet atacking us, so we issued a warning to everone to leave the area within 15 mins or we would consider them to be hostile.
A fight then occured with RUS.
About 60 ships were lost in the area according to the map (mine being one of them), so I hope you can understand the confusion and forceful action that was required.

Damn when i did hear it whas in stain i would only come to help the jove guys
i can't imagen that i would help stain alliance, let the jove claim that system, i would set selfdestuct before i help any SA corp

You must do what you feel is right, but I now hope people will understand why we had to give a warning to leave, and then treat those that remained hostile.

don¦t like ya MASS guys, but that¦s just fine - keeps my Adrenaline on higher level.
perfectly right, if you told locals to "get out of the hot area".
For those cry babies getting shot and only reacting with a "ohh, lok at the bad guy, he shot me": GET A LIFE !
Nobody will take interest, if you get shot or simply rammed out of space, when it¦s about oo sec space or fighting for valuable loot - do or die, but don¦t lame around.
And as to you SA freaks:
Knowing, this would be a suicide mission, Oracle sent about 14 cruisers, 2 frigs (hihi) with minimal loadout (no sense in throwing away the good stuff, eh ?), intending to have some fun at 1st line.
Standing against the massive heap of battleships & cruisers, like you said before, it was real fun to see, even if the "Jove fight" took only about less than a minute.
Only thing about you, that makes me fill a dirtbag like nothing, is that whatever you guys do, is mostly combined with not keeping word, gangbanging at gates and similar cowardly looking actions.
Just my word now: This was one of the 1st direct actions against your arrogant and fishy alliance - don¦t think, it¦s getting easier, for too many corps now have a new and rather clear image of you.
This was the fun attack, and I¦m looking forward to further actions, some even funnier, some maybe a little more of the bashing kind - at least as soon as our corps get together

sorry about that but i think this was the only way i think to pass the camped starget of 10+ MASS BS with out geting poded...

We all now if you going to stain you have to fight..
and if some people start to cry after jove treat is history, and they got pod by pirates, cry me a river we al now how SA is whit there space. and who can blame them if there are good bp drops
