There come times when a massive fleet fight is happening and you can't be there. It's a missed opportunity. Sure, you can read about it the next day. Or you can live vicariously through the killboards. But there's nothing quite like witnessing it live as ships explode and billions of ISK vanish in an instant. Luckily, there is one man who broadcasts many of the largest fleet fights in New Eden, waking up for alarm clock ops just to stream them.
In our latest Community Spotlight, we feature Mad Ani, who has recently become the first EVE-dedicated streamer to be made a partner with Twitch.tv.

I do like Ani's streams, and he does a fabulous job, but what you guys failed to realize is; he's a ****. I've spoken to a lot of members from his former corporation & alliance. They've had NOTHING but bad things to say about him. Refusing to PvP, streaming blue fights with no time delay, leaving comms on during fights, and general lack of respect.
When you guys do a spotlight, cover the entire story, not just the pros. |

Love your stream, dude, keep up the good work.
CCP should fund this man's hobby for the ridiculous amount of traffic his stream gets (and thus attention to their game.) I love Dust514. But it needs more EVE. Read my idea on how to do this at General Tso's Alliance blog: http://3xxxd.blogspot.com/2013/06/dust514-uprising-needs-moar-eve.html |

That's pretty impressive, I get those numbers when I do livestreams, but I mostly livestream Kerbal Space Program because people ask for it, also, my livestreams are now on Youtube because I have a much bigger audience there, twitch has been less reliable for me and I don't have the bandwidth to stream to both.
I was terribly disappointed to miss yesterday's event because of this whole 4th of July thing.

Haha. Right. That isn't what I was told. When over 30 people from your old corporation, and alliance smack talk you, its a bit more believable. I stopped watching your stream because of what I found out. I refuse to support someone who steals from people, lies, back stabs, and doesn't pull his own weight. Back when I was promoting Flight of a Thousand Rifters III, I joined Mad Ani's in game channel. At the time Mad Ani was in the same alliance as me, Northern Coalition. I asks in the channel if Ani was around so I could link in the channel my event. Ani was not around and many players in the channel was asking for details. So I explained some info about the event and dropped a link for those who wanted more detailed information. I did not spam the link or continue to talk about the event endlessly.
A few hours later Mad Ani banned from the channel and proceeded to give me a nasty ear full in alliance chat. I apologized and said I was not spamming or anything malacious. Mad Ani unbanned me on the condition I ask for strict permission each and every time to talk about my event and I was no allowed to do it more than once a day. This continued for a couple days and as the event started to gain more and more attention from eve gaming news sites Mad Ani became more and more angry with me when I would ask permission to link my event for each day.
Finally Mad Ani convo'd me and made some outlandish demands. For the so called low, low price of 2 billion ISK he would in very small text put the event link on the stream off in a corner somewhere. The link is literally five letters long...
I tried to explain to him this event was to celebrate EVE's 10 year anniversary, that I had already sunk in about 30 billion ISK of my own ISK and everything else was through the generous donations of the sponsors. I politely said there simply was no extra ISK available to do meet his demands. I mentioned that if he was to put the link on his stream as a donation to the event I would be more than happy to mention his name in stream in the list of sponsors.
This was unacceptable for Mad Ani. He made his demand again and I politely declined. He them immediately perma-banned me from the channel completely. . |

Obviously a troll believing other trolls.
I donated ISK to every corp I was in. I paid for a corp JF loss which had corp members assets inside it. I ran JF for many alliances over the years, providing fully fitted ships as a service. When I FC'd I gave all loot out to the pilots that took part in the roaming ops. I've given out 7-8billion ISK in the 1st raffle. Upcoming raffle is giving away 5 plexes. As for pulling my own weight? Go look on eve-kill. 8th top killer in ALL of EVE for January. Since then I was a logistic pilot, FCing the logi team. Get your facts right and then perhaps ask directly, instead of bringing it here? Continue believing, but trying to publicly humiliate me and yourself at the same time...that is trolling. Ani is a good bloke and the stream is entertaining to watch and listen to. The guys in chat seem like a good bunch as well and it's always fun to have a chat over there or in his ingame channel.
He covers all the big fights and battles on a grand scale which I won't be able to see otherwise and me and many others are thankful for that!
It's not my favorite kind of music but I still listen to it in the background and I simply enjoy the stream for what it is -

CCP tryes to get people into the game and further more they try to push people from highsec into 0.0 with gamechanges.
But the best way to get people to pay and to go into low and nullsec is to show them LIVE what it-¦s like to play the game. And this does Mad Ani. He shows and explains how Eve nullsec is played.
As a new player you can-¦t go into null, but with this stream i think many will strife to get there, to get into a corp and learn how to play pvp without a concord babysitter.
So, keep up the good work Ani. I hope you can manage your next job so you can continue streaming. This is the best public relation work i have seen since the great Jita-Burn-Videos where i start playing eve. |

So far the 'official vid' has clocked 140,000 views, it would have been more but for the 'respectable game journalists' who grabbed it from youtube and reuploaded it to their own servers. |

Yeah, there's some good content on this stream.
I especially liked the incident a few weeks ago, where subsequent to you being decloaked and ganked while afk, you demanded CFC reimburse your ship, set you blue, and apologise to you via evemail before you'd edit a video of a bombing run they did. Funny stuff. |
