Currently about the only counter to macrominers (since CCP wont do anythign unless the macrominers send them a notarized confession) is to get a bunch of people to show up and steal their proceeds in an attempt to drive them off. Now with jet can flagging I wonder if they will buy some combat chars to blow up those trying to shut them down.
Personally Im against Jet can flagging for so many reasons. Mining in highsec is already far far too easy. The fact that you are mining into a jet can and can be stolen from is about the only danger they face. Yet now we are going to pad the walls more? I wish CCP would stop this kick they are on of making the game easy as hell. Right now its easier to make money in highsec than lowsec or 0.0. Why go risk mining crockite or even jaspet when you can sit with a super barge in high sec raking it in with no risk. Some might say that you make more in 0.0 but after you factor in danger, cost outlays for operational expenses, time for hauling and so on, it becomes apparent that highsec mining is far more profitable.
So the reality is that jet can flagging does three things. (1) Protects macrominers (2) Gives people a truly 0 risk method of earning money that cant be countered. (3) Further dumbs down the game to the point that a trained monkey with a learning disability can play it.
I really wish CCP would concentrate on ways to make macromining unprofitable and increase the draw and utility of 0.0 instead of further drawing everyone back into empire. --------- The words "Exciting" and "Safe" are mutually exclusive; pick one.

Pop their can, replace with one named the same in roughly the same place. They will open it (most of the time) and put in stuff, then the hauler will remove it. Free shooting for all.
For everything else theres suicide kestrels.

Jetcan flagging will actually make mining far more dangerous unless one is extremely careful.
It'll also create a whole new type of griefer - Proud member of the [23].

I have a simple fix...
1) Your hauler pops a can. 2) Your Battleship transfers ore into that can from the macrominers can. 3) Your hauler takes the ore out of the can he dropped. 4) If the macro miner trys anything you gank him with your Battleship. 5) You talk smack in local. 6) You go back to the sation and sell the minerals.

Frankly, I beleive the idea that criminal flagging will stop macroers is naive in the extreme.
it will lead to 2 things.
a second generation of macros that respond to flagging, and identify ore cans to prevent it...
and macro-mining ops with defence teams set up to gank targets.
neither seems promising to me

This would be my prediction as well. Now they will have a way to get back at us for messing up thier ops. Foolish if you think about it though. One of these sweat shops could set up a corporate strip mining op in 0.0 with all of the people they could field and then they would make isk much faster.
