CCP, I have been patient with this issue way too long. This is a crucial tool for contracts. If you can't split a stack, you usually can't do a contract.
There is no need to bring out new features and versions of EVE if you can't keep the game flowing smoothly with existing tools and interfaces.
This is way beyond nuts and totally unacceptable to have a crucial item like this go this long without being fixed.
I rarely complain because I understand the complexities, but without this tool of splitting stacks, a good portion of my game is useless, and you have ignored this for way too long.
I am very disappointed in this. |

Well, there is another problem with splitting stacks, the extra .01 volume that nobody will notice. Just encountered this problem on a contract that has 900.000 m3 of minerals, but when I try to load it into a Obelisk it says that the wrap actually has an .01 extra volume. And this is a big problem as the contractor did nothing wrong, the contract will show 900.000 m3 and you will encounter the problem only when you try to load the wrap into a freighter.
This is a bug that if not fixed fast, can lead to massive exploits where billions of collaterals can be lost just to a 0.1 extra volume that none will notice. So make sure you will not accept contracts with the same size as your max cargo hold on your freighter/ship. I already petitioned this problem as I'm not easy on loosing billions just because of a 0.1 extra volume. This is clearly not the players fault but a bug that can lead to massive exploits. |

I am surprised by that rule: It only enforces the perception that "CCP is ignoring us" which can hardly be in the interest of CCP. It also create more work for your game masters as they'll have to answer the same petition over and over again. |

This is a very annoying bug that affects most people that set up contracts. Please fix it! And while you fix it, consider adding a "stack all option" as well inside the courier interface.

This has been FIXED! 
I was able to split a stack of plex in my corp delivery hangar this morning taking off 1 to do dual character training. The mechanism is the same as it used to be in the Contract menu.
Only very minor issue is that you need to re-sort the hangar to see the item because it'll be at the bottom. But for some people that might be a feature and not a bug. |

The way this was handled was unacceptable.
It took way to long to fix a crucial tool.
The worst part? There was no communication in this thread from CCP, not during the problem phase nor even when it was fixed. A simple acknowledgement of the problem, even though it was taking too long to fix, would have at least calmed the anger many of us felt. You can't play the game if you rely on this interface and it was broken all this time.
Really bad vibes. |
