I have heard that trading can be extremely profitable. I have a iteron 3 and i use my calc and all the trade goods i find will only sell for a little more than being bought and this will not make much.
Could anyone gimme and hand and tell me a good region to do trading. or do i have to trade between regions?

I have found that you need to trade between regions the majority of the time. I am speaking as a Trader who normally plays 10 hours after reboot. What you can do is check the closest 3 or 4 regions for supply and demand, this way you can setup your trade runs for that night. Remember to take into account the size of item, profit per unit, and distance between stations when picking your routes. Hope this helps.

yes sometimes you have to trade between
regions , which isnt always bad really.
2-3 jumps extra for 20 isk more per piece
is worth the effort . heres a hint tho , moving
wares around with an indi over large amounts
of jumps can take a while , mining can be
more profitable for the time spent . so spend
a bit time on ABs skills and navigation , maybe
slap in a MWD if you can bother training for
it.

I've not really tried trading, but from reading other threads it sounds like inter-region trading is most profitable.
Unless you get very lucky and find a decent route within the same constellation or system.

I found trading not really worth it, when you dont have that much cash/cargo space.
I mean sure 20 ISK per unit is nice profit but if you need 1.5 million to buy a ship full....well you can see where that goes

I would say trading is ONLY between regions.
Ok, in some rare cases you may find a good deal within the same region, but in most cases you need to travel 12-15 jumps to make a good profit.
it p**** me off when people destroy the few resources there are for making money in game by buying a good supply and selling it 2 jumps away for a lousy 100K profit when real traders could have made miljons from it. It is like flying around and blowing up roids with missiles (if that was possible) so others can't mine.
If you think 12 jumps is to far to travel then stick to mining. If you don't, then join Lucri Causa and I'll show you how its done.

best i did was Long-limb Roes.....
2 jumps for 1.3 million ISK profit.....

The best trade run i ever did was 3 millions in profit selling spirits, but that was before the highway
