Ya know before the implementation of the new "launcher" I can only remember once that EvE was not available to log into.
Now...i get this regularly - and tonite again - I am getting the "EvE Oflline" message from the launcher.
And before you tell me its my ISP.....I am able to connect to the forum....SWTOR....my ipad....email and I have 100mb cable service.
CCP please get this fixed...its damn annoying.
After 15min i got the log in screen........ |

OP should perhaps try to sacrifice a black goat on a new moon or something equally significant.
His launcher is possessed & bad juju!
Alternatively he could join the many other victims in the (felt) 1000+ other launcher threads.

Try to log in anyways? The launcher is known to be buggy.
Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

Did you actually try to log in, or did you just see 'Offline' & not investigate further?
The guy who was sitting next to me in the first nullsec round table who had obviously not had a shower since before boarding his flight to Iceland, you really stank. You know who you are. |

You guys don't get it!
The New Und Improved Launcher is an expansion to the game:
- Challenging mini game whose prize is being able to enter the real game.
- Skill check: EvE has to stay true to its learning curve stigma, all players must prove they are worthy of entering The Sandbox.
From old time Rites Of Initiation we got our own Rite Of Initialization 
- Patience check: we know EvE is different, everyone forges his path and it may take a long time.
The Einstein Design(tm) Grand EvE Launcher helps players understand that EvE is not a lowly, instant gratification MMO.
EvE has to be endured, patience exercised like a mantra till the players find their psychological climax.
Only then, you are a True and Tested EvE Player. Hardened by years of relentless exercise, sleepless nights (before skill queue existed  ) and now a Paragon in the Trials Of True Patience.

Yeah I hear that people used to get up in the middle of the night to change skills. I never bothered with that as sleep is more important to me. Even these days a character will be training nothing for several days before I bother to log in & fix it.
