I personally started doing exploration almost right from the start and while I'm still quite new myself I now have so much isk I don't know what to do with it (no, don't bother :P), so I've decided to give something back to the same community which over time has helped me get on my feet to where I am now.
The plan is to contract ready fit ships to selected newbies with everything they'll need for exploration, and then some. Just to entice them to look at all these modules they perhaps can't use yet and give them something to train and aim for. I'm not talking expensive stuff but rather a decent fit that'll do 1/10 and 2/10 just fine. The initial idea was to stick to Gallente ships only, partly because I can fly&fit those but also because I have an idea on HOW to fit them. Then I realised that this would limit my target audience quite a bit and would just give myself way more competition, and while I'm fine with that to a point it's like shooting yourself in the foot and I'm not THAT stupid :P
To give you an idea what I'm talking about here's an Algos fit I made, it has everything needed for data/relic sites while being capable of doing the lower combat sites as well. The modules used will be cheapest on market (probably meta 2) and they'll be fitted and ready for flight, accompanied by a mail with links to useful sites and info.

What I'm really looking for is ships&fits for the other races and also links to useful websites for the starting explorer. Any tips or suggestions are very much welcomed. The adventures of a newbie: http://kyraquinn.wordpress.com/ |
