Hello All,
I have buddy who recently started playing eve and we're trying to figure out how he got killed and didn't get kill rights, nor does he think Concord showed up, nor did station guns fire.
My friends account: He was in Hek, he undocked to move a ship, he wasn't watching or paying attention, then noticed he was being attacked, he activated his shield booster and then blew up and was then podded. All by the same guy.
I've attached the two kills with names removed. I'd love to hear any theories you have. He had been logged off for awhile, so he could not have had aggression (and he says he didn't steal or take anything, he never touches wrecks). Now to be fair my buddy is ~8 days old, so maybe he did something and just doesn't know it. He is in an NPC corp, so there was no war deck. I looked the killing pilot up and he's had MANY kills in Hek, some of npcs, so maybe there in an exploitable mechanic, but I doubt it.

Then he had time to lock and pod him? We are just trying to figure out HOW, don't give a frack why and no isk compensation is being pursued.

This is probably what happened:
- Friend joins Eve. Is told to run through the Career Agents.
- Friend does Advanced Military arc, gets a Letter of Recommendation at the end.
- Friend asks in Rookie Help, "what's this for?" "It's to join the militia." "how do I do that?" ...
- Friend doesn't read recruitment text, joins FW, ignores new Militia channel.
- (time passes)

He joined the Minmatar militia so then became a war target of the Amarr and Caldari militia.
I hope he didn't quit the militia after this happened, There is lots of fun to be had and isk to be made being in faction war.
But a 8 day old character shouldn't be flying hurricanes, Get yourself a load of Rifters and train up your gunnery and piloting skills then get yourself into low sec (Dal or Auga) and hunt down some Amarr (they will be orange on your overview)
You will die so make sure your clones upto date but ever fight will give your more experience and open up so much more of the game. |

I think a week old player (not even character) is too new for factional warfare. He needs to learn about a lot of game mechanics first before even trying. |

Hello All,
So I talked with him again and he DID in fact join a militia, although he thought it was only a low sec feature. He had a cane for missions and has been able to replace it and has quit FW for now.
Thanks for the help! I did ask him about FW before I posted here but I didn't say Milita so he didn't realize it.
