lol i logged in for the first time and im by no means a retard but i play daoc really and planetside, lloked at this thort id give it a go but jeez its complicated, can see it will be gud thou when i get the hang of it, what i really need now is a guild or something so that when im stuck every 5 mins there are ppl i can ask, anyone know of a nice one that accepts n00bies?

I dont mean to make fun of you, but can you learn to check your spelling and make complete sentences?
Secondly if you go to the recruitment channel you can find a corp there.

just ask on the local or corp chat loads of people will be happy to help you .... well they did me and if you get very stuck just and join the help chat but you might have to wait an bit for them to get back to you

Eve has rather a steep learning curve - the next to useless manual doesnt help matters! Do the tutorials and ask questions either in your newby corp channel or in the help channel and you will be on your feet in no time. But believe me theres always something new to find out :)

Not to be an ass, but with grammar and spelling like that, I can't say I'm surprised that you're having a spot of trouble figuring out how to play a game.

Oi!
Be nice and don't knock peoples spelling etc - a lot of people have english as a second (or third etc) language.
To answer: yes, Eve is fairly complicated and does have a steep learning curve.
And no, the manuals etc do not help very much.
As i experienced, you usually have to put in some "noobie" time solo to learn things, as most corps are not willing to "babysit". so the first while is a little slow - although if you find some nice people they can usually help a little :)

t1mbra, yes, EvE has an almost vertical learning curve, but that is what places it higher up than previous MOGs. I LOVE that it is complicated, and over time, you too will appreciate how and why things work.
The HELP Channel is a good place to start, and get friendly with a few corp's to ask for advice, etc, but dont join one. Get the feel of the game first, and then in a month or so you will be more experienced and better equipped mentally to know what you want from a corp and when someone is pulling the wool over your eyes.
Its a dire shame there isnt a search facility on these forums, as i can garuntee, any question you have has been answered a fair number of times already here.
