So being a silly lamenting over how the bounty system was kind of...flawed, I flipped through the list on the off-chance quick cash would happen. Of course it wasn't to be, but that's not where I'm going with this.
I'm noticing a lot of people on the bounty list with "EOH" in their name, which stands for Eve Online Hold'em or something. Even one that is named "www'eohpoker'com" From what I understand it's an external poker service upon which ISK and other EVE related things are gambled. Personally I smell a scam or a TOS violation, but a lawyer I am not. Thoughts? |

While the bounties are technically legit, they have been placed by their own corp members for advertising purposes. I doubt those toons ever even undock.

ISK spammers have been (And still are) around since forever, doesn't make it legal. Shame on me for trying to make sure a possible scam was brought to light. Also, that link just makes it sound more like a scam than I first thought. So uh, thanks, I guess? Just sounds like a TOS violation to me or a potential scam.

CCP has no problem with players gambling ISK. EOH has had a very public presence for a long time and have even had their services promoted by CCP via ISD articles on the in-game news page. |

CCP has no problem with manipulating in game systems to your own advantage.
CCP has no problem with scams.
CCP has no problem with the fact that the bounty system is broken beyond use and is nothing but an e-peen tool anyway.
Also, EoH is totally legit, and is making isk hand over first by staying that way. Why scam when you are taking in billions a day without serious effort? Last I checked they are hiring dealers, if your interested.
(goes looking for one of the EoH guys to demand his advertising check)

Just a totally unrelated side note, calling someone 'dense' while using no structure or even attempting grammar really takes the sting out of your words. Not saying you have to be a god of grammar, just, you know, try if you're going to call someone dense.  Also, Mr Space Lawyer, thanks for the laugh.
The first thing poeple allways attack first on someone that has made them mad is grammer do some new its so 2005.

It's funny when a bottom feeder gambling group like this ride on a games coat-tails. It's basically to the point where the in-game bounty system is functioning as this poker sites leaderboards.
Letting these clowns do this to the bounty system is making a mockery of EVE and it ruins all the immersion there once was.
This game is broken, and if I were CCP I would start working to fix and balance things otherwise you are going to lose a lot more subs. Hell, I have BF3 and skyrim to play so unless eve gets back to a working, practical product, I won't be putting anymore money into it.
The main thing I wanted to do when I Started eve was be a REAL bounty hunter and because CCP doesn't care about it's consumer base, or the product they tag their name onto, we have an utterly broken and useless bounty system that only takes up space and get's abused by losers.
Pretty pathetic, if I were developing this game I would put a lot more passion into every little detail and assure it was done right and not broken, instead of just be a moneygrubbing greedy douche like every other ****** corporation in the world now. Believe it or not, business didn't use to be about just making money and soul-less shills in suits didn't disregard their own product in favor of more revenue.
Unfortunately the world is not like that anymore, greed wasn't accepted back in the day it was seen as sin, now'a'days it's seen as required. Well the world is doomed if that is to be the case. Anyone that says corporations that do this aren't wrong need to open their brainwashed eyes to the world around them. The fact that they KNOW the system is broken and useless and DO NOT do anything about it is what angers me. |

First: You know that this is just a game, right
Second: You are not employed with CCP (not that I am aware of) and the Game developers have their hands full with "trying" to make the game better for those of us that are still playing this "game." The bounty hunter system granted is broken to an extent. Does the bounty hunter system need to be worked on....yes it does...
Third: You (Hyacinthous), are not developing this game and "putting attention into every little detail" would be so time consuming that the game would never made it to the market for playing.
Lastly, EvE is where people come together to cut loose and let out their aggressions "in game". We really don't want to be reminded that the real world does suck at times and that we need to have some sort of diversion to get our minds off of troubles that plague all of us.
If you are mad about what I have said, then so be it, but there has been a lot of complaining by a lot of players (including myself) about this function and that function of the game that isn't working or could be better. Just remember "It's a game!"

Its not like they are even profiting off running it IRL. You gamble ISK, not cash, all the fees are in ISK not cash.
