I made this post because it's the 12th time I've done this...... stupid thing!!!!
1) Request a level 4 mission 2) Set the Destination in my Nav Route thingy... 3) Make sure I have Missiles. 4) Travel 4 jumps to the battle zone. 5) Try to warp to battle in system, but no Agent Mission in system ...... start feeling confused!! 6) kick myself for "forgetting to ACCEPT the Mission.. |

EVE General Discussion. nothing more You may gain the knowledge, but you will lose your belief, with all its mystery and comfort. If there was proof, absolute and certain, there is an afterlife, why not quit this life, and be done with it? Ponder about these things all your life, and you're a philosopher. Compress these ponderings into a couple of pages, and you'll go mad. |

Set up a huge buy order for ammo, was thrilled to be getting it so cheap. Nearly filled a hauler but had some room left over and grabbed some mission garbage from the item hangar just to fill up the cargo hold. Made 4 jumps to my corp HQ, then took a quick nap.
When I sat back down at the keyboard I dumped everything out of the hold into the reprocessing plant and hit enter. Then I looked for my ammo in the corp hangars... |

Needless to say the scammer DIDN'T leave system... but I guess I gave him some publicity, so he occasionally sends me "finder's fees" whenever someone falls for his crap. So, I have pretty much got my bil back, by now. "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Since they don't drive what they can't afford to lose."-á --áBienator II |

A Collective Veteran fail.
During the start of the BOB & GBT vs RA/goon war in Delve one of our more veteran members found a huge and I mean huge combat exploration site. He and another Vet ended up losing a pair of Battle ships to it; more due to them both being under the influence of the fizzy pop!
Anyways, we are on Teamspeak discussing how we might 'take it down'.
Problem was that our Logi ships were out of position, and the war while still not hot was getting to the point where moving anything was either a big deal or getting dodgy without numbers.
As we discussed the matter, the only Intel we had was "There was a fo**ing shite load of them." Not really a useful description. So, seeing as I had a throwaway Executioner cluttering up my hold, I decided to use that to get to the site, then go in, loose the ship, then I could float about doing a better head count.
So off I go, get to the site, jump in, click on a central structure and issue the orbit at current range, then lit up the Over drive supported Afterburner. A couple of seconds my ship vanishes under a haze of green as about 50 BS with assorted rabble open up on Max. But by then I am trucking and nothing is touching me.
Anyways, I do a head count, and we spend another 20 mins discussing the best way to take it down with our limited resources to hand. Remember, this is about five day one and Beta age Vets.
Then a new voice chips in, one of the new guys, both new to us and new to Eve, still in high sec, but listening in to get a feel for things.
The Convo sort of went like this;
Noobie: Max, can I ask, you are in the site? Max : Yup Pause Noobie: In your Executioner? Max : Yup Pause Noobie: And you have the agro? All of the agro? Max : Yu............FFS!!!! %^&$-ú!!!!!
You could hear palms slapping foreheads and that famous Homerian battle cry "D'oh!" in several parts of the world.
Needless to say, within five minutes 4 Corp BS jumped in and the site started to die.
And yes, we all made a donation to ensure that Noobie got an equal share of the kill bonus and loot value |

The other day I was flying in my carrier in nullsec using sentry drones to do anoms I aligned as I normally do to the POS so that if a neut comes into system I can warp to safely pretty quickly. A few min later I realized that I didn't stop after aligning and that I was over 20km away from my sentries. As my drones were now being attacked I decided that the best course of action was to dock up get a FAST ship to run in there and grab all of my sentries. So I quickly grab my newly fitted Executioner with tech 2 weapons and rigs and rushed back out to the anom. Completely forgetting the fact that there were still TONS of battleships still on the field...Couldn't warp away fast enough... It wasn't until later when I actually warped back in with my carrier to pick them back up that I realized that even if I wasn't being attacked I wouldn't have had enough cargospace to hold them all anyways.

Was used to flying Gallente ships for a long time. Maybe a year or more. Decided to try a Hookbill with a T2 light missile setup one night after coming home from a night out...somewhat drunk.
After a long time searching for targets and running plexes in FW, a Firetail finally warps into my plex.
I spent so much time waiting that I over-reacted and the "Gallente instincts" kicked in. Did I mention I was drunk? And I hate losing a tackle, so if a web is fit I get really tempted to use it.
Point, max speed, approach, web....*****!
I was warp scrambled, MWD disabled. Pretty much any turret out there could now track me. I could just sit there, dead in the water, watching the Firetail burn into his optimal and....pop goes the Hookbill. Oops, I was in a Hookbill, not a Gal ship with blasters...why did I hit approach?? OH THERE'S THE ORBIT BUTTON!

The morning after the 4th of July I made the mistake of logging in while pitifully, horribly, unbelievably hungover. The kind of hungover where I desperately needed to drink some water but I knew if I did I'd either hurl or spill it because my hands were shaking so bad. I logged and the UI was actually sort of quivering. I accepted a mission, undocked, flew to the wrong constellation looking for rats to shoot for almost an hour, found none, flew some 8 or 9 jumps back, stared blankly at the mission info for another ten minutes, realized where I was supposed to have gone, flew there, looked for something to shoot, found a rat and locked on and then what??? Where are my missiles? I then realized I'd been in a stripped boat the entire time.
It was definitely a "special needs" day for me. the best advice I can give a fellow newb is: DON'T play after a night of margaritas, beer, wine and bourbon shots. Untutored courage is useless in the face of educated bullets. Gen. George S. Patton |

I'm really bad about podding myself to get to a combat zone, jumping in a ship, and getting blown up & taking the pod express, then realizing I never updated my clone.
Recently I've bought a Rokh, fully fitted it, bought insurance....then turned around 5 minutes later and traded it to a friend so it can get moved to a deployment zone....all planned. I've also put insurance on little nagas and tornados and let my friends borrow them.
But my favorite is, and knowing I dabbled in faction warfare for months is key, is trying to do a bomb run on a razor tornado gang in Karan. Decloaking 30 k away, I began furiously spamming the launch button and angrily telling Aura to shut up....trying to disable safeties and after 5-10 seconds I had a large portion of the gang lock me up and redbox me. Thankfully they appeared to be sniper fit so I was relatively safe, even if they did have a huginn and malediction with them.....so I warped off.
Then in the aftermath I replayed what Aura was trying to tell me in my head and I realized you must not be allowed to launch bombs in low sec. |

Imagine his surprise when a lone Hound decloaked, locked him, fired one salvo before Concord blew it to smithereens. That guy is probably still laughing.
In my hurry to brawl during a Frig Fry in Anamake, I forgot that clones need updating after being podded.
I've fleet warped my whole gang out of a losing fight, right to a station, where the guns finished the job our enemy didn't.
Several times I've tried to warp to the sun to escape a fight, only to wonder why I wasn't engaging warp...because I was already fighting at the sun........

Docking at that kickout station in low because **** it, I have 2 stabs.
Splat. There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

When I was in my first 2 weeks on my trial I bought my first cormorant. I then fitted it with autocannons because I thought it would have worked. After killing about 2 pirates, I felt so freaking unstoppable I decided to jump into tama.
Then an abaddon showed up...
But the worst part is that I had like an entire 40 seconds to warp away and escape, Yet I decided to approach te abaddon and say "hi". 41 seconds later I was back in my station. The [UNDOCK] button is an "I agree to be blown up" button. by clicking it, you are accepting. -Kitty Bear |
