With high gunnery skills in the 4-5's would 425's be better for the rupture or would 220's be the way to go. I know the tracking speed is better on the 220's, but is it that much of a difference that the 425's are not even an option? Give me your advice on what guns to use from personal experience. I have up till now been a 650 720 arty man but looking to change to auto's. Are any of the non named type 1 autos worth spit or should I plunge into the named or t2's? Why is the sky blue?

Use t2. Then pick the biggest baddest gun you can fit with your ship fitting in mind.
For the ruppie I'd use dual 180s and a plate. For a vaga, most people use 220s and an extender.
The difference in DPS should be something like 7.5% per level from dual 180s to 220s to 425s, so it's more important that you make your ship fit. -------------------------------------------- "A plan is just a list of things that don't happen." -- Parker, _The Way of the Gun_

Autocannon falloff means you're not really restricted in which caliber guns you fit. I always fit a tank first, then see how much PG I have left and mix and match AC's until i'm close to 100% PG/CPU used.

The blue color of the sky is because of a process dubbed "Rayleigh" scattering. But lets not go into that now.

And thers the thing with how much ammo they cand hold 180mm 5 m3, 220mm 4 m3, 425mm 2 m3. With 10s reload the dps are more closer.

correct.
in general - would never fit 425s - even if they fit... because of tracking and clip size.
220s are great - dual180s are fine too if you can fit your ship in a superior way by using them instead of 220s. _____________ Thread Killer Give Assault Ship their Missing Bonus in RMR! <END TRANSMISSION> |

What weirda said.
Its the same for all 3 autocannon classes, the largest one loses from tracking and clip size the little it gains from raw dps, and then more. ------------- Where are the named 800mm Plates and Mega Ions, CCP?
