Just wondering your thoughts. Never used one, cant find any threads that really relate. I'm a short range sort of guy, wondering if you could suggest a setup?

On sisi with the new sheild res skills and lvl 5 minmatar BC on one of my characters... this setup is a beast.
5x 425mm autocannon II
3x Medium Nos II
1x 10mn AB II
1x Large Sheild Booster II
2x EM Hardner II
1x Thermal Hardner II
3x PDU II
1x GyroStab II
It will kill a zealot, lol. Or a battleship for that matter.

5x 220mm II
3x Med Nos
Large Sheild Booster II
Invuln II
Amp
Electro Cap Injector
AB
2x PDU II
2x Gyro II
Is going to be about the setup to beat.
Really looking forward to RMR :P

Ur setups is nice, but if my proph can`t win i will just warp out since u got no scramblers fitted...
Sisi with people fitting max tank and not fitting a regular PvP setup with scrambler is not a good test-arena.
But is easily switched by taking one of the EM II hardener out and u got urself a half-decent tank with tackle-feature..

That would be the first minmatar ship setup to be able to do that. Which typically means your damage is laughable.

No chit. SiSi is full of pole smoking inviduals tat scream "omfg you warpped away from 1 on 1" - well ofcorse one will if you dont have scrambler, FIt scrambler, then see what you can tank

Contrary to the popular belief of most forum monkeys, very little real pvp takes place 1v1, and as such not everything needs to fit a scrambler.
Incidentally, if you're telling me that you can run a large SB and 2 hardeners sustained with just 3 PDUs, then you must have gotten your hands on one of those 'special' ships that have twice the capacitor recharge of all the rest.
Oh no wait, maybe you're just talking *******s.

If you don't fit a webber then you won't really be able to kill any ships that are smaller than you.
Sure you can Nos them to hell but if they kill all your dones then they can just orbit you too fast for Med ACs to track.

It was either the amp of 10mn AB. If you throw on the amp you have to fit 650mm II arttys. Don't need the amp on sis because I got a crystal implant set off the market... used that billion isk they put in everyones wallets.
And I get a 37.5% bonus from the BC skill.

here's a really clever idea - have someone in an interceptor or assault frig tackling and then fit the cyclone for tank and gank... genius!

5 220 IIs, 3 med nos II
mwd (cyclone is wayyyy too slow with ab), large sb II, 1 invul field 1 em hardner web/scrambler
damage control II + 3 gyro IIs
like 60% lowest resist and a free built in AMP with decent BC lvl.

Ok, to clear this up, I will mostly be doing 1v1 (most probably with a mate).
He can scramble.
Is this ship better with autos or arts?

I am not a fan of 720mm II arties on it for pvp... those are baby battleship guns when you have a tossaway bonus like the typhoon. So it boils down to 220mm IIs vs 650mm IIs ( since dual 180 IIs aren't needed b/c the BC has plenty of AC/650 grid ) and to be honest I think the 220mm II is better for pvp. PvE the 720mm IIs are good with the new shield tanking.

I've decided to go on a t1/t2 mix (can't get the guns t2).

Med: TP,ab,ShieldB.scram 20/EM hardner, Command
Low: 2 PDu TII 2 gyro or 3 gyro with 1 pdu
So both longrange and shortrange to be used.
close and personal go for cap and speed and longrange it turns to a backupship to protect the gangeffects and pound some small chickens perhaps.

If you don't at least put a shield booster on the Cyclone, you may as well fly another ship. ROF bonuses on Minmatar ships aren't really a dmg bonus, they're more a make-the-weapon-useful bonus, like the cap use bonus on Amarr ships.
I would go short range. Don't need an AB/MWD unless you're ganking or pirating, because the enemy cruisers and frigs will come to you.
For your mids, think about:
20km disruptor, web, shield booster, invul field, em hard/boost amp. If you really must fit for speed, drop the em hard/boost amp and fit it in your 5th mid.
This is for RMR of course. Do whatever the heck you want for the next three weeks.

Kill a zealot? Gonna have to sacrifice that fancy shield tank for some tackling mods in that case.
A sound setup otherwise.

Made a new thread, didnt notice this one. A lot of you have put an invu-shield booster in your setup, honestly though, those things are too cap intensive. Personal opinion says this cyclone really needs to be armor tanked for PVP
