Are we doing away with web download of patches from now on?
I it's half an hour from scheduled uptime and I still don't see a new patch for download in the patch section.

Air out the house, go remind yourself what the sun looks like and maybe take a shower :)

Yeah I know the patch is today. I'm wondering why I don't see the patch for download on the website yet.
And airing out the house is a bad bad idea. I live in one of those cities where keeping your windows closed is the only way to keep your house plants alive.

Asking CCP to put the patch on the download patch section is worthless. Ive done it every patch and earlier today someone from the wonderful polaris team deleted a post i made about it. But thats cccp for you, remove from public all that you dont want the people to see and hopefully the problem will go away >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Inquisition Long live the Inquisition Long live the Emperor Long live Amarr!

Well I understand why they don't put the patch up on the website before the servers are brought down for patching. If someone were to download the patch and install it before the servers were sync'ed that can cause major corruption on the client.
But since the patch process is so damn slow, and this seems like it's gonna be a big one. I was hoping they give us a head start by putting the patch on the website after the servers were down, like they've always done in the past.

The reason patch links are removed is that until TQ is live with a new build that patch is not official.
So, if a link to a patch is posted before TQ is live with said build you run the risk of getting a lot of angry users that can't connect and now have to do a re-install to make it work.
Therefore, those of you that post these patch link, don't, you'll only end up causing unneeded problems for users that patch before TQ is live. á
