If this were any other contract, people would asking for the name of the bad employer so that:
A) they would be shamed into paying you all B) they would be shamed into not doing it again
By not naming them, you are just giving them the opportunity to screw some other mercs over.

There is no need to shame them. The contractor paid out lots and lots and lots of isk. It was just a few miscommunication issues and some poor decision making by the contractor that led to the current state of affairs.

Well, our employer did an excellent job of covering our costs when this whole contract started. Mainly, Contraband were just along for the fun, we really weren't in it for the money, the cost reimbursements was just a bonus. However, as the contract went on, Contraband was asked to invite friends along, and at that point they were promised iskies and cost reimbursement by the employer, which made it much more important to us that these costs be covered as we had invited our friends under promises passed along by our employer.
When it became clear that suddenly, and for no aparent reason, these costs and contract fees were not going to be paid out as promised, with the expectation by our employer that we carry on funding logistics and ship costs ourselves, the decision was made that it was not a sound decision to remain in RISK. I feel bad for Shamis, and Will9, they've put a lot of time and isk into RISK, and I'm sure several corps leaving over something that's out of their control does not make things any easier for them, however, we were never in this fight for RISK's end goals past invading PA space, or any odd principles. Plain and simple it was a contract and opportunity for PVP alongside people we enjoy fighting with.
I know our employer has had communications issues as of late, but at the same time, I also feel we've made our situation very clear, and I'm at a loss as to why it was not resolved in a proper manner. I personally have invested all of my liquid assets into supplies for my corp, and have lost over 2 billion isk of ships, faction gear, and plants during this war and my costs were never covered. I know the same goes for many others... it got to the point where some people were asked to continue fighting, but could not realisticly afford to continue to spend their isk on ships when they had no time to go recoup their losses in their normal ways.
I know others, such as marovinchian, paid out of his own wallet as well to cover for promises made and not kept by our employer, so all in all, isk wise, Contraband and I'm sure 206 came out of this well the negative column for isk.
I'm not going to say our employer is ebil or was trying to screw us over. TBH, I don't know why things turned out the way they did considering how helpful and friendly he had been for the majority of our stay in the alliance. It is unfortunate, and it's a good lesson for us for the future. We had lots of fun in the north, and in the end, that's all that matters.
And btw Tolon, you need to quit being so perceptive

They are mercenaries? I thought they were RISK yo-yo's - for all the times they they join and leave RISK.

I did have a good time. Phenominal pilots to fly with. I have no doubt that the remaining corps in RISK can complete the contract successfully.
Good luck guys.

Hehe. All I can say is, I hope this is a lesson to the employer... He had the isk, and then some there was never any question about that. Perhaps it was a random power trip or maybe it was just severe communications issues, but regardless, the decisions that were made that led to Contraband Inc. and ClanKillers not being paid as agreed lead to the RISK alliance falling apart. After we left all of their immediate plans were placed on indefinate hold because (obviously) they lacked the man power. I received word last night that S******dly was pulling out of RISK as well, not sure why 100% but I suspect it's due to political nonsense and all the bs over people not getting paid properly.
As sad as the whole opporation coming to an end like this was, I have to admit I find it humorous that our employer told us we were not needed and didn't care if we left over not being paid... 2 days later the alliance is for all intents and purposes, dead. Funny what happens when you don't pay your mercs. |

Mush mouth, you said you would never tell my story, god dammit, i thought you loved me? not that you wanted to make my life a living hell, both in and out of game
/emote cries
EDIT: after thinking, it also reminds me of a story of someone, that i used to call a friend. he became inactive and did bugger all for the corp, other than host a website which crashed every few weeks, and lost allt he information stored. he also hosted a ventrillo for us for a whole 2 weeks. Since he was removed for being inactive, he threw his toys outta the pram and threatened to stalk everyone. The End

Cosmic Fusion was hired by RISK against PA. They joined the alliance for the duration of the contract. The contract ended, so -C-F- left.
