Just a simple question as I'm getting frustrated to always having to select Item Hangar whenever I dock. The window it seems likes to go to the Ship's Cargohold of whatever ship I'm flying. |

Simplest way is probably to open it as its own window (shift-click the item hangar), set up that window as you like it, and then leave it open when you undock.
It should re-open automatically from there on every time you dock.
This applies on a more general scale was well: any time you want a specific inventory space open, create a separate window for it and then set it up to your liking (set it to always open in its own window, set it up to always/never show the full inventory tree, set up sorting etc). In fact, I'd go so far as to say that you should almost never use the actual GÇ£InventoryGÇ¥ window or button, and instead just use it to spawn and set up whatever specific inventories you need to access. Being a single window, the main inventory simply doesn't offer the breadth of setup specifics that you can get from using your own defined windows. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

Worst-case, your settings have been clogged up with so much old junk settings that it tries to open stuff that no longer even exists in the game. In that case, you pretty much have to do a UI reset and start rebuilding from scratchGǪ which sucks, since you can no longer access things like snapping settings. The "Merge 'Items' and 'Ships' into Station Panel" setting might be what you're looking for. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

I was afraid of that.
One day my item hanger stopped showing up when docking, my ship cargo would and so would ship hanger, but not items.

anytime it bugs out on my I just open the window in the position I want it, then undock. Next time I dock it is open right where it's supposed to be. I don't pin it or anything either. |

The saved positions and windows sometimes bugs out and once it's happens they refuse to stay open :/
The only way I've managed to get stuff back (I like to have active ship inventory, ship hangar and item hangar open when docked) has been to reset all windows to default pos and then reopen, size and position them again.
Until the next time something make the settings goof :/

Yep, this is how I fix the client when it bugs out and forgets about a window that should stay open too.
It also works when the client forgets about you liking the scan window open when you undock.
I find that without a good mob to provide one for them, most people would have no mentality at all. |
