Yeah, it is almost a one scene movie, isnt it. Although tbh alot of games that are made into movies tend to suck.

I thought it was pretty good actually, it followed the doom story well imo, tho i wouldnt have cast the rock as the main dude.

Well "Halo" is in the process of being brought to the big screen by none other than the oscar winning director of the "Lord of The Rings" trilogy and "King Kong"...Peter Jackson. I think there may be one good video game -> movie that would be very difficult to get wrong.
What would an Eve movie be like? I would be the dashing rogue Interceptor pilot, played by Vigo Mortissen. Jean Reno would be the Gallente President, Sir Ian McKellan as the Amarr Emperor and James Earl Jones voicing TomB. -------------

I really enjoyed doom tbh.
I didnt go into the movie expecting some ground breaking plot since it was pretty much already set by the game. Action was pretty good (even if it was predictable at some points) and the fps bit was pretty sweet.

Well the guy who fought the Rock at the end was supposed to be the main character...

Actually Peter Jackson is just producing the Halo film, it's being directed by Guillmero Del Torro I believe. Having said this the screenplay's being done by Joseph Staten and the music by Marty O'Donnell so the film should be at least true to the game, even if nothing else.

No it didn't. Doom games are about hell the film was about some mutant chromosome or something which turned evil people into monsters and good people in superhumans. Was still pretty good imo, not the best but good. FPS bit was brilliant. So were the zombies and PINKY!!!!!1.
Most of my friends were drunk so kept shouting out 'STOOM' in the cinema and quoting the Rock from his wrestling days. Brilliant.

I said it followed it well, i didnt say it followed it word for word
Doom has a science-fiction-horror-theme, and a simple plot. The background is only given in the game's manual, and the in-game story is mainly advanced with short messages displayed between the game's episodes.
Quote: The player takes the role of a nameless space marine, "one of Earth's toughest, hardened in combat and trained for action", who has been deported to Mars for assaulting a senior officer when ordered to kill unarmed civilians. He is forced to work for the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC), a military-industrial conglomerate that is performing secret experiments with teleportation between the moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos. Suddenly, something goes wrong and creatures from Hell come out of the teleportation gates. A defensive response from base security fails to halt the invasion, and the bases quickly get overrun by demons, all personnel getting killed or turned into zombies. At the same time, Deimos vanishes entirely. A UAC team from Mars is sent to Phobos to investigate the incident, but soon radio contact ceases and only one human is left alive ù the player, whose task is to make it out alive.
Dont preach to me about Doom mate
