Medals & Awards External display of your accomplishments is a large part of many MMO's, the "level" ladder being the most prominent case of such display of achievement but more associated with the grind of course. For EVE, Medals & Awards is a general tool to hook something visible to an event, which is either just for show or gives some sort of benefit. As such, these should simply be "implants" which you can't remove (except by the game). This would be highly used by War Victory Conditions and Factional Warfare to name a few but also tied into ECR. This would complement fully the character creation overhaul, allowing the schools/ancestries to be a "medal" which can then be changed by going to school again. Advanced shools and training would also be possible, like through high level agents etc.
So we will be able to redo character creation, or move up into a more advanced school/ancestry?

Nope the devs will never let players become jove, theyd be too uber.
The redo character creation thinbg is there so noobs who gave theyre starting char 10 charisma can undo it again.

But what's the point create Jove empire , if We , players , do not have access there ??? It's a waste of 'space' ???
Only for that thing , 'k guys look , we have uber Jove empire , and U ' players ' CAN'T access there , and CAN'T create Jove char!!!
So for what reason they made this Jove empire?????

The Jove is just part of the story line, nothing more
Why all the facination with jove anyway? yes yes we all love to be "ulber", but if its opened everyone, i mean EVERYONE would become jove, the game ruined and we all quit.

lol as soon as they open jove space if they everwill, there be massive wars between allainces on who is going to control it. lol make the gate in d4k please

I believe the Jove exist as a vehicle to introduce new technology into eve and maybe even unite the races in a war against them eventually (thus their nber status).

Jove are 2 things and neither are player characters
they are
Dev toys; hell yeah
Storyline; its the mistey the abilty to add very intesting story lines etc
they are not
a race players can be; sorry

Because they ARE uber. And they're centuries beyond everyone else. And they're highly secretive. Everything about the Jovians would have to be changed to balance them and incorporate them, which would be stupid.
Also, there's no need for them. There's enough happening within the four empires that it would be a waste to add the Jovians right now.

The Jove in EVE represent the big "what if?"
Nobody knows specifics about the Jove, and that's part of the mystery that keeps us guessing about them. We are aware of smaller things regarding them, such as the disease that afflicts them, the Battle of Vak'Atioth, and their reputed prowess with intelligence affairs.
But we know very little more than that, and I think that's why people love to speculate about them.
