Oveur, can you give us official word on how the new BPs will be released; and furthermore when? I assume that they'll be dropped through the RP lottery again, but I checked the queue on SiSi and there were no BPs there.
And rather offtopic, but since you seem to respond to this thread: Is it possible to spawn high end roids in a 0.0 system that does not have them already?

We've also been thinking about auctioning out more Tech 2 blueprints as you may know, but the latest twist is that it's not for ISK but for Research Points. I think personally that sounds acceptable.
Just for conversational value, we could say 5 of each ship BPO and 10 of each module would go into an Research Point auction.
This is of course only a stopgap solution to compensate for the increased demand of new players - till Next-Gen Research comes in, which is already being designed and scheduled for Kali.
I think this will ruin the later bpo's u have released as the supply is still high enough to lower the prices down to allmost to low profit lvl. What about having said auctions for bpo's that's not up to todays amount instead of increasing mods that are low profit allready and still keep the gap on the once that are insanly highprofit items.
Once u have all mods and ship bpo numbers at there respective lvl all u need to do is auction / seed new bpo's when demand goes up with the playerbase.

Originally by: Oveur T2 BPO's exists in very different quantities. Some old ones only have 8 of each while most have 20. Recently, modules have had more and Tech 2 charges/missiles will most certainly have more of each.
A rough estimate of new Tech 2 blueprints distributed in Red Moon Rising is ... uhm, 1500? The Tech 2 ships alone are about 500.

Hope you are considering new ways to gain rp then also. There is nothing more boring than getting enough standing for good R&D agent and then do some hauling missions once per day for extra rp.

Eep.
2x missiles per missile type 5x missile types (rockets, standards, heavies, cruise, and torps) 4x damage types per missile type?
= 40 T2 Missiles?
If this isn't correct, the missiles must have been changed since Friday when I was last on? ---

Well, thanks for the answer. Just want to add that I think that auctioning for rp instead of isk is a good idea. I don't have any research agents, but I'd say it's fair. And that pooling research points isn't possible for most of the BPOs sounds fair to me, too. It rewards the people, who did a lot of missions with one character without getting a BPO so far and gives them a chance to get a really good bpo. I like it. ___________ 'Only ships can be assembled, this is a Frigate.' |

I have to say, I think you are all TOTALY wrong.
People dont want to auction bpos for isk, because, quite rightly, the average person of noob has no chance of winning this.
So, how does it differ auctioning for rps or pooled rps? You are still going to have the biggest corps/alliances bidding and winning, and the new guy has no chance.
If we all started from scratch tomorrow, then maybe, but this far into the game a lottery is the only viable option that gives the new guys a chance, and small chance, but still a chance.

Hmm, as I understand it, auctioning was only meant for the monthly extra BPO of each item that should enter the game. And the lottery system would stay for new BPOs.
Don't know, I think a lot of people haven't done the research missions on a regular basis. And maybe the people who have a lot of RP would bid eachother up and finally waste their points. I think that a new player who keeps on research mission whoring would be able to compete after a few months and be able to win auctions, at least if he doesn't want a hac bpo, but maybe a t2 shield hardener, ballistic control 2 and this sort of stuff that sells good, too. I mean the people with a lot of RP would go for hac bpos or a cap-recharger-2 bpo and stuff like that and keep all their points for that, which makes it easier to get the other BPOs rather 'cheap'.
Well, I don't know it for sure.

I've been on the test server alot and the t2 ammo is the only gripe I had. I have t2 sige launchers and looking at the t2 ammom that I could use in it, I will never use it.
One is high damage but gives you a penality of -20% cap.
The other is long range and gives you -20% to speed.
Both penatlities suck. All I was wanting was t2 ammo that did like 5-10% more damage. I'll never use the above ammo on my Caldari ships.

Most of these post's speculate that out of 1500 bpo's the ships will get 20 each.. So, it was orginally said that there was going to be 2-4 ammo types per weapon, but as we know there was only 2 types per weapon. (excluding missile's) a short and a long range, my question is this... are their LESS ammo bpos out there than said in the first discussions, or MORE or each of the 2 types now that we dont have 3 or 4 types?
