Considering that the Cyclone is about half the price of the Hurricane, how much do you think the new BCs will be compared to the tier 2 variety? |

Probably they are going to be hell expensive since its a new item in the market. Then in 1-2 months the price will drop down and everyone will be using then even as a toothpicker The Codex Astartes guides us....*someone poke and whisper something* Oh wrong scenario...WHERE IS MY GIANT AQUARIUM?! |

comparable to a low-tier bs. 40 mil-50 mil for the hull, fittings comparable to a bs for the highs (guns) and rest are comparable to standard bcs?
so lets say a tier 3 bc might come out at total cost of 70-100m for standard t1/t2/meta fittings, higher for deadspace/faction/officer fittings.
educated guestimate, give or take a couple dozen mil |

We won't know what they'll level out as until we see the mineral requirements, but upon initial release they'll be greatly inflated. I don't imagine that they'll end up costing more than a tier-1 BS after the BPOs have been circulated and researched, but on release I'm guessing 50-60 mil for a short while. /prediction |

Depends what the blueprints require to manufacture them.
But yeah, they are going to be ridiculously expensive for the first month or so, then as the demand dies down somewhat, and the industrialists actually have to compete with each other, the prices will come down and stabilize. So somewhere between 45- 125 mil for a fitted tier 3 BC?

I expect them to cost more than a T2 BC because those who just have to have the new ship will pay big ISK for them.
Then when the kids are done going "oohhhh" and "ahhhhh" the price should level off. Probably on average cost 25 percent more than a Tier 2 BC.
They'll never be as cheap as a Tier 1. Have seen Cyclones going for 12 million. Wondering if anybody will even bother flying those any more.

interesting sig...
I agree the prices will be complete crap for a while but when the FOTM attitude wears off they should even out to base mineral prices.
that is unless they prove to be way OP cap killers in which case you'll never be able to find one for sale
The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

well if you guys remember and you probally dont the first t3's came out at around 500-750m per hull, subs not included these ships will be larger and better in terms of what they do so expect 500-1b hull cost. subs will prob run another 300m. just hold your horses and wait 3-6 months they will be affordable then.... or run incursions and buy them all on the first day. |

They'll drop in price fast because everyone will be on the bandwagon to manufacture them so they can make a lot of isk off the first ones because some people cannot wait to have new stuff, so in turn, they are willing to pay lots of isk to have the new stuff. Happens every time a new ship is released, though none have been released in a while. I judge in the 40-50 million range once everything stabilizes. T3s were a pain to produce in the begining. You actually had to work your ass off to get the required parts, or pay someone handsomly who had alreay done the work.
Tier 3 BCs are simple. Buy BP, Buy Mins, Produce ad nausem. No more extra work then when any other Tech 1 ship comes out.

Remember it's tech 1 so the bpo will be available on the open market but seeded by ccp. I'd guess about 45-65 milnwhen the price settles. |

Um no? Take the total cost of a decently fitted hurricane, add bs-level guns to it, bs-level ammo and look at the rough costs.
keep in mind, a teir 3 bs costs ~120m for the hull. a tier 1 bs costs ~50-60m for the hull. my guess is just based on observations of how the market has worked over the last few years. I might be wrong, infact its somewhat likely, but its what I expect once prices stabalise. |

The new BCs are Tier 3 Tech1 not Tech3. Malcanis' Law: Any proposal justified on the basis that "it will benefit new players" is invariably to the greater advantage of older, richer players.

CCP could decide to to not release the BPO and make then available form BPCs only. Through a LP exchange. Maybe needing something like Militia LPs or something to get the BPCs.
That just a possibility, probably not a strong one though I would guess there will be a BPO. But if CCP wanted to have more control on their numbers they would do it the BPC way.
Since it seems CCP is not always happy with how BPOs saturate the market. |

This makes me wonder if there will be a future buff to indie tanking capabilities in the future.
Also, note that Destroyer class has a limit to rate of fire being between a Frigate and a Cruiser (if only they were closer to a frig...) but having 8 high slots.
Would we see a day when Tier 3 BCs will, without some limitation to range or rate, be considered overpowered?
I can imagine if this happening if the Tier 3 has 8 high slots.
But there is a good chance that whining about them being OP would be the first counter to an 8-slot high Tier 3 BC and a nerf to range or rate would result.
Anything less than 8 slots kills the greatness of the idea though.

Since the new ships will be tied to the mineral basket, expect them to behave more similarly to the noctis did. They will settle into about 85-90% of their final price in about 2 days. After that prices will decline more slowly as research accumulates. One can only speculate as to what the price will specifically be, however CCP has mentioned part of the reason they went with Tier 3 BC's instead of BS's is because they wanted it to be used by a greater percent of the population, stimulating pvp, etc. Thus I suspect it will be a little higher than a Tier 2 BC, not much higher though considering you'll have the greater expense of BS weapons.

There's a suggestion from a dump of data that someone took from a test server, that the ROF penalty will be removed from Desties. And a reduction in their sig radius. |

They will follow the same trajectory in price the Noctis did when introduced. 4-10 X mineral cost for the first 2 days, 3 X for 3 or so days, 2 X for a week and gradually going down to @ 110% of mineral cost. If Women aren't supposed to do the cooking, why are their bodies full of milk and eggs? |
