Ok i think ive found the evidence that proves that Samuel doesn't play eve.
In the 1990s Jackson made movie after movie -- fifty in all -- including turns in Eve's Bayou (1997; he also produced it).
It's seems to be a case of a deaf forum ***** and a film of a similar name.
"I played such and such in Eve's Bayou"
"I played a lot of Eve Online"
Easy mistake to make!

Icelandic TV segment
The segment on EVE starts at about 10 minutes in, samuel l jackson is mentioned as being a player at about 18:40, its all in icelandic mind (which I don't speak)

Yeah - must be true then - because a dev wouldn't want to make people think it was cool to play EVE and attract more people to the game...

First off I don't think CCP are allowed to tell who plays the game...
Second, in other threads ppl have said they've seen him in an EVE-store t-shirt.

I don't speak Icelandic, but are you sure that the person isn't saying something like "people are being silly and saying Samuel L Jackson players EVE" ?

Think the latter was whoever the TV company had to demonstrate the game actually, since it was in someones house where you see him setting the laptop down (at the start of the segment)

There is nothing in the user registry to suggest that Mr. Jackson plays EVE, the best we can claim is this is a tenuous rumor at best.
If Mr. Jackson does play, I believe he would be happy to retain his anonymity and play the game without disturbance.
So please, can we kindly lay this topic to rest?

i think its time for this subject to die, it doesnt matter who the person behind the char. that is playing this game is, they die just the same when you pod them, so basically what im saying is i have no doubt that a lot of celebs play this game but what exactly is a celeb anyway (no offence to quality actors here), celebs are just people the same as you and me who have done things successfully enough to be mentioned in the papers, so in general to the eve community as a whole leave these people alone stop speculating on who they are get on with playing one of the best games i have ever played in my life, and see you all in space.... ps. like my sig ?

Did they say 'the actor' SJ, or just that Samuel Jackson plays EVE? There's a large difference you know. One of my good friend's mom is Janet Jackson. Now the first thing that comes to your mind is the singer, but it's just someone with a similiar name.

Well I just watched that video.
Reynir Har=arsson, one of the founders of CCP basically just mentioned that Samuel L Jackson had been interviewd in some TV show the other day and had been ask what he does in his free time, and he said he plays eve-online.
