I heard miner II's were being dropped by weak pirates on choas last days before patch.
Now where are they ???
I'm now paying 5 mil for each laser that cost 20k to make

So what pirates drop these elusive miners 2's, im geared up ready for a good 'ol hunt for them
I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

4k-10k serpentis pirates drop them.
Someone please confirm that the market recognises them. I want to put up a BUY order so that you pirate farmers can fill my order

Has this been confirmed on Tranquility?
I have yet to see first-hand confirmation of Miner II drops on Tranq. (i.e. "I looted a miner", not "My friend says he looted one.")

I will try to confirm this tonight, been to busy hunting the markets yesterday to confirm that miner 2 is now a market commodity, nobody knows that either

From what I hear, Miner II drops are EXCEEDINGLY rare.
I actually one of the very few people that build Miner IIs. Before the patch I was unable to sell on the market (SCC deal). Now I CAN sell on the market, but it does not show up in the market tree control, meaning none of my customers can see them.
I have about 20 on sale in Lonetrek. None of my contacts can see them on the market either, although they are in my Sell Orders. I have a friend that I gave some to for sales in another region, The Forge, and I cannot see them there either.
Is this a bug?

Gonna log in this weekend to find 90% of the player population in Gallente space, lol
The 10% who won't be there are:
people who dont know what a Miner II is
people who didn't read this post
people who don't pay attention to chat channels
people who dont have any friends which do either of the two above things

The drops will be rare I guess. And you probably will not hear about anyone who gets one whilst they stay rare. After all would you announce I have a shiny new miner II and will be mining all defenseless for you to come and pod me and take it.

I would, that way the price for them would lower and i would go back to top cruisers npc farming and buy them off ppl making them at a lower price than the crazy one it is atm :)

There is and there isn't.
Sure you can obtain income from industry and what not, but for the average player mining is the best way to make cash!
Its the main reason why eve will probably fail as a game overall.

Which is why, I have always thought, and said to others, that mining should be done by automation, robots and portable refinery ships. You command said vessels, and you fly defense for them, and they do the dirty work.
Like in the game Allegiance, before it died.

As far as Ive seen there are no miner2 loot drops from any serpentis pirates up to 20K size.
Feeling these rumours were started by the "Anti-Miner2" campaign to stop people buying miner2s at 5.5 million.
If anyone can prove that these things are indeeed loot drops plz feel free to give a location for em.

These rumors were started by people who assumed that the Chaos loot tables would be transferred to Tranquility.
Which they obviously weren't, because miner IIs *were* dropping frequently on Chaos.
