I've never played the first one. But its getting good hype and previews.
So I'm totally in the dark on how it played, tho people I talked to said it was like Civ but in space.
A some other people said its what MOO III should have been.
Any opinions or thoughts on the old or new game would be welcomed.
And is it turn based or RTS?
Looking for a good turned based space game thats more than just combat.

The cargo bay is overloaded and cannot be made to fit Expanded Cargohold I.
It is currently only capable of fitting 8772.12 units and it is currently jammed full with 9558.33 units. |

The first one lacked a lot, but was surprisingly still very good.
The only recent space turn-based game I've found recently that is good is Ferion... build your own ships from scratch, fully-fledged diplomacy, extremely complex, full of strategy, and other fun stuff.

if you want civ in space - Space Empires IV Gold - it's teh win

I agree with Omber Zombie...Space Empires IV Gold is an awesome game...a new version of SEIV was released just last month: Space Empires IV Deluxe. You can download it for $30(free as a patch for owners of previous versions) from either the developer(Malfador Machinations) or the publisher(Strategy First).

as Shikari said, first GC was lacking but fun... i would definately want to try the new one and see what they did to it
