Why do people post the word first (1st) when they are the first person to download someone's movie? I understand you are the first person downloading the movie, but nobody cares and it just clogs up a person's post. The only people I dispise worse that the people who post "1st" are the people who post "2nd".
It is pointless and if you think it makes people think more of you, it obviously has quite the opposite effect. I'd like for the replies to a movie link to contain comments about the movie as opposed to people posting that they are downloading the movie first when they have yet to even watch the film.

Feels like it started with those players that got famous for their actions on the boards instead of their actions ingame, wont mention their names. These forum*****s stopped being original after a while and said "1st" in threads as way to show the community that they still played the game.
Then it spun off to some sort of game where people compete for the first place because they are bored at work/school.
Mods should delete and give out warnings to those who reply with "1st" and "2nd".

I think that there is some secret "1st post board" where ppl post everytime they get "First blow" on a forum post. Then at the end of the year they all must bow down to the OMGNOONECARESYOUPOSTEDFIRSTYOUIDIOTAWARD taker. Then they all go out into Yulai and mine Veldspar for 1 hour and drink Quafe special 1st post edition. Then they call all their friend telling them how they posted first on a fourum. Then they write a blog about it and calls guiness worldrecord book to tell them that OMG i POSTED FIRST!!OENELEEELELVEEN!!!HAXXORZZ!
