So I had this dream that I created a new character on 11/11/11 @ exactly 11:11:00 (since account creation thank God does not log the seconds. Within one minute that is possible... Then it suddenly occurred to me that EVE will be down for scheduled upkeep from 11:00 to 11:30 on 11/11/11.
Someone please say that's not true. (But I think it is).
CCP, can you please delay the downtime for 30 minutes on 11/11/11 for me?

It does appear correct that your date of birth is to the minute not the second. I was born on 2011/10/10 at 23:59 the very last minute of that date. I guess I should have planned ahead to be born at 10:10:00 as that would have worked being only 50 minutes before downtime. -President Caldari 2011/10/26 01:22 |

11/11/11 for those of us that want to create new characters @ 11:11
EVE Time.

Skyrim (ES5) comes out on 11/11/11... i'll be too busy killing random NPCs in the world of dragons and walking/talking cats to worry about internet spaceships for at least 48hrs. (Unless my skill que needs refreshing).
Also I'm not sure someone in this thread is high... just saying. |

No I don't believe that the observation that EVE will be offline at 11/11/11 11:11:00 is the result of being "high".
Interesting that you do.
The fact that CCP seeming plans to allow that seems to be the ultimate high, in stupid, historically.

12/12/12 12:12 includes the numerals 1 and 2. 11/11/11 11:11 only contain a stream of 1's.
Won't happen again while any of us are alive and the fact that EVE will be offline I feel is a sad disgrace to a 10000 year legacy.
CCP can prove that they have control by delaying down time on 11/11/11 by only 30 minutes or they will prove that they don't care about legacy or history.

I just hope it's more involved this time, Oblivion was somewhat disappointing after Morrowind.

DT doesnt begin at exactly 11:00 so you can create your char and hold your finger on top of the "create" button while watching the countdown timer on an alt or somethign (don't know if the counter shows on char creator). There are a few seconds after the countdown reaches zero for the server to shutdown so you should be good to go. As soon as the EVE timer hits 11:00, you hit the button.
