I'm getting tired of this virtual memory flood.
Will this be fixed anytime ever?
Game becomes increasingly more HDD dependant the more you play it without relogging.. Like after 20 minutes of jumping system, to system.. I have to relog the game. Otherwise it takes like 45 seconds to a minute to load out of warping to a jumpgate, station, or belt.
It's really lame and annoying.

I'm not annoyed with the stupid bugs that have been around since day 1. I'm downright angry about them. This is not acceptable. Why are the old bugs being ignored? CCP? Hello? ------------------------------------------------ "The best defense is a dead opponent." - Avaton White

Day 1? Of what? Alpha? Hmm, actually I think it cropped up in Beta. Alpha only happened when I got podded :/ Anyways, I've always had this since beta, I got 128 RAM too ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |

I have no problems at all with this. Even though I got set up 2gigs of swap files across 2 harddrives and 1gig of ram. Solution is a program the cleans your ram when it hits a certain point. Or basiclly thins it out. I use memturbo on the computer and I sit at around 300megs of ram left after hours of play, then again it I don't have it running, starts chewing into my harddrive after awhile.
You might get a slight performace decrease with this running in the background but overall works excellent when playing for long streatchs.

I do everything.. But mostly I just sit around and spin the camera around my ship.
I think the best way to leak out some memory is to jump alot while you have a big chat room open (Like: Trade, Help, ect)

hmm i have to agree, the game becomes very very laggy after you do few jumps like on a big trip... i noticed this in 1128... so i dont know why they havnt fixed it...
i have 2 hd's and have swap on both of them to help speed up in swap but it doesnt help... hd is very very slow compared to ram. support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

I think the channels are the problem, not the jumps.
I play 3-4 hours straight frequently, doing agent missions that entail lots of jumps between systems, and I don't experience performance degradation at all.
But: - I don't mine - I don't join any optional channels, and the corp channel is usually empty. - EVE audio is disabled (improves my framerate)
