Edited by: Zarthanon on 14/12/2005 20:38:41 Titan's and Motherships are Obviously made directly for Alliances like Xetic (Oops, I said Xetic--meant ASCN, they'll still always be Xetic in my eyes) and BoB and stuff. The alliances that are just rollin in the cash. Carriers are pretty cheap IMO... they say around 800 mil to build and they have a direct role so even the smaller alliances can easily get one of these.

well if pirates like me :) have done thier homework on the test server and tested existing set ups and some modified set ups to come into line with the changes in RMR... we're pretty well ready for it...
LMAO @ the thorax pilots who forget the plate rule changes on cruisers!!
My caracal will finally be back to pre-cold war status..
So, i guess if you checked it out... know your ships you'll have no problem in RMR
BTW the tech 2 blackbrids look sweet.

It's pretty much all bad IMHO...at least as far as making a living from making things go boom.
More HP Mods everyone will fit to give better resists (Dmg control) More 'gank proof' T2 ships (a well setup hac is raven proof)
I love change, though I always feel that CCP are swaying towards the wants of the masses... ie, total safety to travel anywhere within eve. Though who can blame them, they are the majority of eves population.
The only plus side is less fear of dmg mod stacked ships jumping you at gates, ohh and the new flag'o'meter \o/

well i guess it will be hard to ransom pods... don't know exactly how those jump clones work, but i guess implant prices will drop.

In regards to the plate nerf... its hardly worth mention in cruiser sized ships... losing some 40ms and being only slightly less manuevable is still worth the assload of armor.

you have to have a clone in another station...... and you need to be docked to use the feature, a pod being ransomed is still going to give results.

Stealth bombers have no targeting delay and can recloak after 5 seconds. I call this a very serious boost :D

Edited by: Hail Caledonia on 15/12/2005 11:05:06 Hmmmm I been thinking about how to be real sneaky about RMR. "If a pilot takes anything from your jettisoned canister, then your gang and/or your corporations will flag that pilot as a thief, and you are permitted to open fire on the pilot responsible for stealing your loot. CONCORD will neither enforce nor interfere with the matter, so it is up to the owner of the stolen property to exercise his or her right. Be warned that this could be used as a trap to lure smaller fleets into sanctioned engagements."
I am thinking this will open up a whole new high sec piracy option.
Gang member in industrial warps to belt steals ore the omg carebear revenge industrial is attacked.
In warp ore thief's corp mates and splatter more dead carebears crying on crime and punishment forums.

Too much trouble. Just put a can with some morphite at the 4-4 station in Jita. With hundreds of people and undocking there must be one idiot who will check the can and nick it.

Man I can see it now.
A noob undocks from Jita 4-4 and as he gently gets ejected from the station he looks pondering at all the cans around him with messages like 'Take me! Take me!' 'I know you want me!' 'I'm waiting for you!' in big flashy neon writing while in the far away distance a bunch of battleship shaped figures slowly lurk around the station.

I'm calling it:
Some classical music is playing, lots of ships moving around, a lone can.
A n00b comes by, "Oh a can, what's in it". He looks inside. "WOW! 10 pieces of megacyte".
The n00b takes the can.
extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*boom*eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeme.
Then maybe a little caption about CCP letting us pwn n00bs and macroers.

Crap patch...like always.
-> forces to have bigger group to break tanks -> sensor booster+remote sen. booster stacking heavily nerferd. -> damage mod stacking and damage dealing heavily nearved -> instas not touched again -> tech II gear rocks, n00b tech I gear sucks muchos
Al in all, bad for pirates but even worse for n00bs. Exprienced players can travel absoltuly safe after this patch. N00bs (without instas) will die like flys. A bad patch that splits experienced players and n00bs farer away from each other.
I didnt expect anything else.
Good features btw: -> drone reduction (less drones = less lag) -> new stuff, ships (short list)

Whilst in a deep state of meditation and perfect tranquility awaiting for the Red Moon to Rise to awaken me, to a new era... One word sprung into my mind
TOTAL PWNAGE
Pvp will never be the same agian, with titans floating about with Dooms Day Device's on board ya wish ya be in a sniper tempest. Motherships & carriers with clone jump abilitie will forge a new future on the alliance frontier, battles will rage like the fires of hell
New skills, ships and other boost's will pro-long any encounter making the game play more colourful than before Even more variation for fleet tactics & combat can surely be seen as good sign for all, let the carnage begin
At the end of day alliance warfare, small skirmish and guarilla tactics have been greatly improved. Its nice to have a decent patch with out the nerf bat swingin at ya...

on the other hand there is a few bad things.
the roidbelt icon bug. probes still fubared, insane that i would have to scan with every probe possible in my arsenal when the target is .5au away, sometimes even closer but still on another 1au plane so probes cant pick them up.
travel through eve galaxy is imho way to fast. it looses its big feeling when i can take 15 to travel from one end to the other, drop any instas within 100k from gates and make a 10k warp in but not any closer if a big team wants to travel fast they can use a team effort to do it, its not that hard just needs some communication and imagination.
no bones for pirates other then the visual flagging that everyone wanted like ages ago. theres propably more but i need some coffe now, cya

The only improvement is stealth bombers? wow i cant wait to fly one of those
On the other hand Sniping=finished Ganking=finished Soloing=virtually impossible
I'd say thats rather a large nerf wouldnt u?
"Ginger Magician is just infamous. I've met more people ingame that have talked about him, than anyone else in Eve." |
