The addons to the patchnotes or Production redo

And old dev blog said that all current runs would be forcably finished, not canceled

Yea, but that's an old dev blog.
I'm more bothered that unless I have a BPC in a station and the range to see the jobs, I won;t know if I can build there quickly or not.

After expiriencing the nightmare scenario of missing bpo's that where in labs prior to the last major upgrade, I'm taking no chances this time around - especially since the manufacturing & research part of the game is undergoing such a massive change. So I cancelled all my research prior to RMR and decided to keep my BP's under lock and key until the dust settles

Wise choice. I did the same if possible. But 5 weeks ago I didnt know today would be seeing the Red Moon Rising

I'm quite concerned about this too ... as I had a Freighter building with 1 day left of manufacturing... no way to know when RMR was deployed 2 weeks ago when I started the build process...
I sure as hell hope I am not handed back the BPO and half the capital ship components...

expect mass petitions on this I recently became corp lab man had 40 slots running just on ME one alt can see any BPs in station with 100s of originals
suggest you try alt with lab skills to check if you stuff is missing 1st
CCP DEV you FUBARed the labs where is the dat on the BP you got in old sys BPO BPC amt ME PE
this sys so far unless you have options like in overview on display i dont know about BLEAPING SUCKS ASS!!!
also nice job explain how they work esp given 1 char is bugged and cant use em so you think it just doesnt work or is incedibly nonintuitive

Not sure what your on about. But labs and factories work fine for me now.
My original concern was a line in the patch notes. Turned out there was nothing to worry about as the batch that was in proces finished before beeing booted.
Noticed the number of bpc's of freightrs available ?

Too much of a hassle to find the correct print and what to do with it with the current system, was the idea to bore researchers to death to stimulate the market?

Haven't tried labs yet, but factories are working fine for me. I only had small ammo charges running anyway, but the BPO's got returned to my hanger no probs. It's not like they'd have cost much to replace anyway. I might have been a bit more careful if I was working on something a bit more expensive  .
Anyway to the OP: You should have got an eve-mail in-game from your npc factory/lab manager for each station you had rents on:
This tells you that:
1) All Jobs had their current production run finished.
2) All BP had been ejected.
3) You have been refunded the rental fee pro-rata for the time you had left on the slot.
4) If you had (like me) already paid the extenstion to the lease, you have a full refund on that as well.
