Not that I'm really complaining much cos the new look is rather sexy but out of the first 8 cans that I have opened from killing angel rats in 0.0 belts 3 contained miner I's and 1 a named miner I excavation probe or something.
Good to see that the angels have not given upo their carebear ways. 
The Breaker is a nice new rat though (thats who had the named miner I).

It's right now, imo. Haven't had any basic modules at all. Miner 1's are still T1 modules.

It is nice to see bounties for lvl4 missions appear to be tweaked, though.

You'll get apropriately sized moduals. I suppose if they had something called the "Large Mining Laser I" you'd have gotten that drop instead.
Rather, if you blow up a BS, you won't open the can and find "basic" anything, or for example, "small armor repairer I", you'll get standard modules of the correct size (Large armor repairer I).
You can still get crap, but it's better crap.

I killed 9 angel rats in a row in .5 and got 9 Miner I and 8 angel tags. I gave up after that. But everytime one of them fired at me it said a Blood Raider was attacking me. Don't really know what is going on.

Seems fine for me, I killed BS Rats They dropped BS loot, I killed BC and cruiser rats they dropped appropriate loot.
I haven't seen a single basic item yet. And the ships seem to be dropping the appropriately sized items. |

Agreed no basic loot, and I did seem to get a higher precentage of top named loot. In about 2 hours of belt ratting in Aridia I got 3 Heavy Modulated Pulse lasers and a couple Medium Modulated Beam, which are the best named. I also noticed that a lot of times no can drops. Guessing this is due to them having nothing but basic to drop and not wasting your time ;-)

The bounties appear to be better however.
I did some fast belt hunting in .2 before it was bedtime last night after the patch and that was the first time I had seen 200k bounty there.
The loot wasn't bad either... got a few named items.

look man, i was chasing a enemy BS fleet around a system in my rifter, they all warped to a belt, i stumbled on the NPCs, killed the enemy fleet then 1 volloyed the NPCs with my small guns..
it was a chance encounter.
d solo.

I feel like I'm getting much better loot(altho I've only killed frigates so far, but still). About the size stuff, don't think it's totally working.. Found a named 100mn AB from a frigate NPC.

Well afaik the officer bounties got boosted like other bounties.
I heard that 9mil BS pre-patch became 20mil ones.
Finally a least you get some profit over doing lvl 4 missions wich are harder then npcing actually. Loot seems ok as well. So looks like npcing and agent running finally got the place it deserves

Aye, they have all been boosted isk wise it seems...
One thing though, when i warped in to the belt i only seen 4 1.8 mill NPCs, so i start taking one down... im thinking, hmmm im taking alot of damage... it seems that the officers dont show on ur overview unless u add them, even though they are battleships also... he went down easier than a normal NPC tbh..
Having NO support with the larger spwns makes them pretty easy.
My corp mate took down a 20.5 mill today and it dropped MININIG LASERS... so aye something aint rite the now.

Actually, Ginger spice declared war on my corp for my sig, of course, he never payed the war bill, nor would he log in to fight.
He does his best here I think.

They are a bit better, ive had less crap from the cans.
They also boosted the slightly better rats, like the true sanshas, shadow serpentis, elder blood etc. Bounty off one i killed today was 11m. Loot was about the same tho (just some named ammo, bleh).
darth is of course lying through his teeth. He was in a Reaper.

You should probably try actually ratting for a few hours before posting on the boards.
What's up 10MN MWDs and Medium Shield Booster 1s from rank 5 battleships. If this is a fixed loot table, I'd hate to see it broken.
Edit: Forgot to mention all of the basic armor hardeners/plates I've been looting. Your entire post can be thrown out the window by taking a look in the hangar of anyone who ratted in 0.0 for at least an hour yesterday. |

I had no reason to personally think that 'ol Ginger was a total tosser before but now I see why he is so universally hated.

CCP remove Miner I's from loot drops please.. Having a 30k rat in a frigate shooting you and it having the appearance of no miner's on it and then having a miner I drop is just... insulting :P

after 2 solid days NPCing in 0.0 (bloods) all i have is junk. The drops are much worse up here IMHO (as none of us have any decent modules) just tons of survey scanners, miner Is, etc etc.

I do still get some small stuff, but for the most part I'm getting alot more consistent quality of loot than before. over the past 2 days i've done a bit of rat hunting to rebuild my wallet and i've gotten 10k m3 of non named BS loot so far. and about 3K m3 of good sellable BS loot. I haven't even bother killing any BC or lower since the patch since there are more BS to kill in a 8 belt system than I could ever hope to keep up with the respawn rate

Having hacked through a few lvl 4's in 1.0 space and loads of belts in 0.0 angel space as well as an 8/10 complex also in angel space it seems to me that the deadspace drops have improved somewhat and I have not got a "basic" mod from an angel BS yet.

All in all I would say that the ammount of refinable materials that can be found in can has increased, however why miner 1's ?

How about drones instead, great things to find in cans in 0.0 space and not game imbalencing cos they are an ammo item really. Not a bad find in empire either come to that.

I`ve been out hunting in 0.0 too, and there seems to be less named loot, but more higher quality named loot (425mm proto's and local hulls 4tw :)), and more unnamed BS loot. I think basic and frig drops from BS`s have got much rarer, but they still happen occasionally.
Also, the 2nd belt I jumped into had a 12.75m bounty officer spawn in :) He was a sole BS with 4 cruisers for support, they didn`t hit hard at all, but his tank was pretty strong. I reckon he was easier to take down than officers I found pre-RMR. He dropped a Shadow Serpentis 425mm Railgun
