3 years of playing EvE.. 500kB /sec speed for patch:)first patch i haevent waited.. tnx guys keep it up:)

Wow, I wish I could enjoy EvE like you, but unfortunately, if I install EvE, it causes my computer to go beserk and die. Words cannot express my disappointment.

For me RMR was one of the smoothest client patches so far.
- Fast downloading of patch [30 min] (and full client [3.5 h])
- Backing up settings and chatlogs
- Clearing cache, capture and logs
- Patching TQ installation
- Starting up and logging in

Now go and fix the bugs and keep the servers stable.

yea u can download the patch very fast
TO BAD IT DOESENT WORK.
auto-patch - lets not even talk aboud it
after downloading manual it says bat file size.
THX CCP FOR NOT BEIN ABLE TO CREATE A NORMAL WOKRING PATCH!

Sorry drunk - I agree as far as patch download is concerned but the FPS loss across 2-3 accounts is appalling.
It is taking some (if not all) of the gloss off ...

first step in getting the server stable, is GET THE PATCH OFF THE CLUSTER AND PROVIDE IT ONLY THROUGH EXTERNAL FTP's!
Jesus lord have mercy it's so simple, tons of people trying to draw the patch from the cluster DESTROYS the game function for many players who are already patched.
STOP AUTO UPDATE ALL TOGETHER NOW AND FOREVER.
it is not hard to click on a patch link, down load it, and execute it.
given that the players have to update anyway to play, they will do so, so the solution to letting the server breathe is to completely take the problem away from the cluster!
provide the patch to external FTP's that don't draw on your own bandwidth! It's genius and it's so crazy that it just might work!
Fileplanet, Gamershell, and dozens of others hosts more patches than any reasonable person could ever need, and that's their specialty, use them!
Their bandwidth is purposely designed around just that need, but EVE's bandwidth is quite obviously cut off at the knees by it's own files, so the solution is to not force the cluster to bare the burdon of that necessity!

Patches and Clients are already hosted on a (fast) mirror. Some users are providing some of their own.
Problem really is the autopatch, which should be disabled for 2 week after a major update, imho.

Installed the Patch on 3 Diffrent Computers, Main Comp, Asked me where i wanted to install the patch to, Other Two, No Options, Just Installed, Didnt have a Problem Though, Till I Logged In |

Well now that I've got it working on my other computer, I can stop complaining as much. So far I'm loving all the complexity in EVE. I've never seen such a GUI.
