omg...you people just whine and whine. get over it, the bugs were expected, its always like this after a patch so just chill down and wait for things to sort out. ccp is doing the best they can and you people whining about getting a free day isnt helping.

How can I say this? It's quite easy. Read the EULA that you agreed to on signing up to Eve and on logging in after every patch. You are not entitled to "uninterrupted gameplay". The server will go down sometimes, it's all part in parcel of Eve. Can't have the nice parts and forget the downtime and server problems.

CCP could have just made 19000 accounts * 30 = 570,000 dollars. They chose to give it to us free. As I said in another thread I set a long skill and had not planned on logging in for a few days Saturday or Sunday.
Seleene is right though. 50 cents a day is what you get free.....

That's why I made sure to mention that I was new, and that this is the first content expansion i've ever went through. I expected maybe a 2 hour update, but I was truly wrong. Ofcourse, its nobody elses fault other than my own that I estimate that... but when CCP estimates 24 hours, and then does it in 30 (not their fault, and hence the word estimate), but then for the next 24 the game still remains unplayable. I get ticked. I'm sorry that I don't have the same content experience as you.

i must admit i wasnt best pleased when i didnt get chance to play until this morning (almost 36hours) but the content amount and the expansion is worth it more than an additional day to the monthly subscription. Peopel got narky cos they cant play for a day n half but i'm enjoying all the new toys and skills so i'm calmed 
On the idea of coffee mugs tho... i wud like sum Bourbon Biscuits and Tea in the mug instead, taa

I believe the only way we would get a free day is if there was 24 hours or more of downtime. Announced, planned 24 hour downtimes don't count.
So, not counting the 28 hours it took to upgraded to rmr, if there was an additional 24h of downtime in the next day or so, then we might get a free day.

I give up on this thread. Was expecting reasonable replies but instead I get harrassed by a bunch of more experienced people who know what to expect when a patch rolls out. If a mod can lock this, i'd appreciate it.

then quit. I'm sorry you aren't in touch with reality and you think software is always bug-free. Also note that CCP gave us this expansion FREE. If they were going to charge everybody for the expansion, they probably would've waited and hired more people to be full-time testers on it, etc. But it's free, and it doesn't bother me if I have to deal with a day or two of them going "oops, bug, fixed."

but every patch there are a ton of retards who ***** because they didn't get to play exactly when the wanted to.

omg, you havent been able to play eve for 2 days. cant find anything else to do in the mean time? ive played games a lot worse than this. horizons anyone? anyway, as for your free day read the eula. you are not entitled to reimbursement for not being able to play all the time.

I remember Win 95 coming out, and we had to live with its bugs for nearly 4 years, then win 98 came out and we had to live with its bugs till W2K came out, now XP is here and still it has its bugs. If humans could write the perfect program then we wouldnt be human.
(PS This is not leaping to the aid of CCP, just historical fact)
Carlsberg dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them.

Personally, I'd rather pay 20-30$ for an expansion that had some customer service and quality assurance that doesn't suck. Or get condescended by things like that "murphy" comment. 
Note, I'm not asking for any compensation because I'm well aware of what the EULA says. Just pointing out you get what you pay for. "Free" is relative. =]
Eve has always had amazing content and devs that actually listen. Just the implementation has always been horrible.

Things may be a bit shaky for a while as they always are after a big patch but I hope the game does get back to being completely playable soon. A free day might be nice for some people but if it comes, it'll be a gift.
