Well actually the finnish language is a slavic language and was as far as I remember not much used by the vikings.
Please note that I did not say sweded, danes, norwegians and islanders I refered to the languages and apart from icelandic that is usually considered as an older form of the scandinavian languages the others are remarcable similar for being separate languages.
Now finnish... I dont understand many words of finnish and I dont want to learn, its far too interesting to listen to the language to have that experience destroyed by actually understanding it :)

Sadly yes I forgot iceland, I ddi however try to edit it but now realize it didnt take.
Thus, yes the Icealandic language should be in there.
Im really sorry I missed it CCP, dont send missiles after me everytime I undock please, snowballs will be fine, I deserve a good volly of them for forgetting icelandic :)

Iceland was built by vikings (and slaves)
Thus icelanders are descended from vikings and ONLY vikings (and slaves)
that is not true of the other countries where the vikings came from... thus the only TRUE vikings you will find are icelanders and farrow islanders (same logic applies)

But I think I'll have to agree whit the Islandur's here. Even though I'm Norwegian. I do have to idmit that the closes remnants we have to vikings today must be some pagan fishermen on remote parts of iceland.
Even though I come from some really remote part of the Norwegian coast. I still think it's somewhat far fetched to call myself a viking. Now when the hell did vikings have internet? And caffe latte? Oh. reminds me... **off to get some coffie **

Dude, coffee is the norwegian drink of choice.. it made Vikings hard! hehe (and yeah that is a joke before someone points out coffee wasn't available then)
