Before you think of all the bugs/problems Eve has, think of all the ones it doesnt have.
- There are no known hacks
- There are no exploits like duping, hacked items etc.
- We actually have events, ive played a couple of MMOG's before Eve, DAOC for instance has no real events created by GM's, not that i know of atleast.
- We have a great storyline!!
- Our GM's acutally speak to us when we send them a message (petition). When you message blizzard all you get is an automated message saying go to www.blizzard.com/help and read this or that.
- If do something big in eve you actually get famous, thats pretty neat.
- We have a UNIQE player run market, who has that?
- Last but not least, we have the coolest graphics i have ever seen.
Excuse me if something above is not is not right.

yep... eve is a pretty good MMO. the problem is...
if you try to please everyone, you will please no one.
CCP will eventually see that trying to make everyone happy is impossible and then the game will really start to be fun.

i think u have that pretty spot on....
EVE is already kool, and hopefully will just get better as PVP corp wars develop etc and more stuff comes into game...the Jovian thing is a great start and Moo and all the PC alliances are going well as well.
Just make sure CCP that no one CAN hack / dupe / exploit and EVE will go on getting better and better

I have to agree, this game is in decent shape relative to other games around the same time after release.

Agree, think about how good EVE actually is now, and ponder how good it WILL be later on, im happy not all functions etc arent in yet, this makes it far easier to explore all things you can do at a pretty laidback tempo. Have patience and ill promise EVE will be een greater, better and more fun than any other game out there...

This game has some real celebrities. Not many of them are famous for doing anything good, but still. hehe

EVE Online....hmmm
Well for one there are playability bugs that make u lost stuff.. LOTS of stuff that takes LOTS of time to acquire. Like my scorpion with 2 250 protos and all kinds of other rare equipment that they wont replace.
<cuts a slice of cheese to go along with the whine>. However, I must admit that as close as I came to cancelling my account after that fiasco, I didn't, because it IS the best MMORPG out there.
One thing that has me very worried though is the seemingly dwindling playerbase. During primetime yesterday I don't think the server broke 5,000. It used to be well into the 6,000s.
Will the game survive? That's the question in my mind...

go to www.eve-i.com and find the server activity statistics. youll see the player base is not dvindling, its kinda just the same week from week.

Bear in mind it's the middle of summer, only us real die-hards are sitting posting/responding to junk on the forums while waiting for our next 'fix' during downtime =p

i ran across a way to dupe stuff....depends on serve crashes though

hopefuly they fix it...dupe bugs can realy screw up a economy

I really like this game and am not really bothered by bugs, since I hardly run into them.
I dont really get CTDs unless I have left the game on for hours and forgeting it was on. Only bug I have really encountered was the cargo container refresh bug but I hear thats fixed anyway.
Of course all of us ask for more content but you have to remember this game is in its infancy (so to speak) and CCP is being cautious so this game doesnt go down the crapper.

eve is not ok and its fundementally flawed, there is nothing worth fighting over and there never will be until factions come in, but when factions come in half the players will quit anyway because it will MASSIVELY alter the game.

I'm guessing factions will come in shortly after stations and mining depots go in. No point in building a station if you can just use a priate station really. Its kinda silly that you can hunt Sep priates then dock and use their stations heh.
Also these stations and mining deports will finally provide *real targets* of interest in wars. Sure you can hide in a station but the enermy fleet is flying around blowing up your support turrets, mining deports and the lab/factory moduels on your station costing you 100s of millions.
The ability to do real harm will actaully create more conflict between corperations and indirectly make eve a more exciting place.

PS CCP, for the love of god put stations and mining deports and etc in already.
