I heard that it only has the effect on mining lasers, not strip miners. Can u confirm this?

Well, in the info it says mining lasers. There have only been 3 ingame that I know of and I cant put it in then take it out to sell it.

I don't think it affects Ice Harvesters... if it would affect them it had to reduce cycle time not increase yield (one Ice Harvester does one Ice per cycle + 5% would be 0.05 ice = nothing)

If I were to purchase this and pop it in and it does not improve Strip Miners would I have to pay for it?

in the patch notes they did specifically focus on the fact it says "Mining Lasers"
when i first saw one i almost bough tit but glad i changed my mind.
Be nice if sumone who has bought a previous one can update or if one the Devs/ISD's can get us an answer. its a lot of cash to get extra 5m3 from a Miner II

I'd be more than willing to buy this from ya, but seeing as I haven't used a miner 2 in... uh... a long time it'd be a waste for it to not work with SMs. If a dev/ISD/pilot with one plugged in could let us know if his does or does not work with SMs it would be appreciated. I'd be happy to plug it in and let ya know, but it's worthless to me I wouldn't pay. Big gamble for a nice implant... Hopefully someone can provide answers. Either way good luck to ya

think that was cos peeps thought it applied to ice miners as well (reduced the cycle time by 5%) but thats the reference i noticed when i was reading the patch notes that they seem to really focus that its "Mining Lasers" and not "All Mining Lasers"
if it works with strip miners as well then one of these on a Hulk Exhumer with full Drone skill and Advanced Drone Interfacing will be awesome

I have this implant on my alt - before patch, it affects Strip Miners, after - not tryed yet...

Mitchi works with strip miners but not ice miners on a covoter with all skills and using tech II with the relevant crystals it gives you 1088m3 ore per laser per cycle.

There are however 4 new mining implants (2x mining laser yield and 2x ice harvester duration) that should be dropping now.
