Hi all,
The title says it all. I am pondering dragging out some high value stuff to npc bases in 0.0 with a bit of markup for my trouble. Catch is, not being a pvp'r I don't know what the most popular relatively high value modules are. I plan on getting around in my little cheetah so need not huge stuff but relatively high value to make it worth my while.
Regards,

Out of idle curiosity what route were you planning to take in and out of 0.0?

miner 2's, large armor rep 2's, and other T2 related weaponry / mining equipment is generally very popular.

rifters, vigils, grifins, incursis would be a good start
The above thoughts and statements are IC and should be taken as such. |

Berrick, I will be coming in and out via UJY-HE. You can find me out there regularly - I like the peace n quiet
Bring in miner stuff? Mmmm, now if there is something I know less about than pvp that would be mining. Really? I can see the t2 stuff would be a great potential market on the weapons and modules front but mining gear? I figure cater to what is going on in the market - and in 0.0 that is ships and parts getting blown up! I just don't know what parts to try dropping off since I 1) don't pvp so don't know what really should be equiped and 2) can't even fly a t2 ship (other than my cute little cheetah) so can't even begin to relate to what goes on one of those.
I just want a 50% profit margin, is that too much to ask from you nice friendly pirate types?!

I am not sure what is in UJY-HE but I am pretty sure it is quiet! Next time you are on, you can check the map. I think it will stay quiet there. I doubt anyone has hit that place in 3 months.
So T2 turrets, large.....850s? 650s? Does it matter? I would guess they would all eventually sell. I did manage to sell 1 of the 2 big things I brought in today so not too bad a result.

Can confirm most of that, based on real sales (ISS Marginis etc.) For easy to transport bulk stuff, weapon damage mods (heat sinks, mag stabs) and frig sized armor reps would work nicely.
Interestingly mining gear doesn't seem to sell. But basically the stuff you'd fit assault frigs/interceptors with , and BS gear sell best.

I hope that's not actually the route you'll be taking, because by announcing it here, you're ensuring that several pirates will be waiting for you.

you would make good money off the newer skills, tech 2 hardners would also prolly sell well (exspecially the racial ones for the local rats). could also move up some BPC sets (drone and ammo ones, ship BPCs...etc)

Thanks for the good ideas people!
And yes, I will be hauling TRILLIONS of ISK thru UJY-HE. Please, all you pirate types come up and pay me a visit! It really is a a great system. I have been making so much money up there I just don't know what to do with it. So come on up to UJY-HE. All pirates welcome! Really, drop what you are doing in these other systems and make the 40 odd hops up to UJY-HE. I will be there choking on ISK waiting for you.

Edited by: WolfGang H on 19/12/2005 01:49:12 First of all, she flys a cheetah. Thats a covert ops frigate and very agile. Nothing short of a bubble gate camp even has a remote chance of catching her.... if she is taking proper precautions she has almost no chance of getting killed even by that.
And, quite intelligently I might add, she wants people to know where this is taking place so that they will A) know stuff is for sale there (people will visit it) and B) go there to try and kill her (and others) which still = more people visiting which = more people buying. ---

I like hearing that not much is going to catch me! Makes me very happy indeed.
Uhm, not to give away the plot but check your map and you might see why I am pumping that system - I want you all to vacate your current ones so I can get some free and easy dry runs into the one I AM looking to do a bit of running around in (which once you check your map will realize cant help but be far away from UJY-HE since it looks the farthest out there in the universe). Some free time to set up some instas, see the sites, drop off a few hundred mill of goodies for when you all return ticked off and start pounding on one another again!
That said Wolfgang, I like the way you think! I might just point out the stations I plan on doing some drops at once I get them a bit better seeded and have a better feel for the area. I have no probs people trying to blow me up, it is just a cost of doing business but I don't plan on losing my Cheetah
The only thing I am debating is hooking up with one of the alliances in the region by making myself my own corp one person corp as I am a very freelance oriented player at the moment. Kinda sucks being KOS due to being in the newbie corp and a suspected spy - I am trying to be independent to the extent possible for the time being. Heck, thus far in my travels the only thing I have 'spied' in 0.0 is uh, stars, planets and rocks.

Just make sure you read the messages on the containers near the stargates. Some might have meaningful messages, like "if you're not blue you will be attacked on sight". Happens when you venture into some alliance's space with a recon vessel.

Yes, a group of about 8 for some reason did not take too kindly to my presence at a little gate campfire they were trying to roast ships at. It was the first genuine gate camp (with more than 2 people anyways) I had seen/went thru so I practically had a heart attack .
Unfortunately for them, my cheetah proved a tad to quick
I did go thru one camp though where they actually let me thru, let me be in the gang and got to check out seeing my first warp bubble actually. After I had been talking to them in local first of course or I am sure it would have been toastorama. You pirate types can be alright once you realize I might be there to actually help you

Well if you are looking for a corp to join rather then starting your own, Traders Academy are always recruiting. We are trying to get more people involved in the trading game and having experienced, successful 0.0 traders like yourself would be a great help to us newbies at it and might get you taken off a few KOS lists
As regards good modules to sell I believe Tech II afterburners and MWDs sell well as do the race specific guns in each area. A good thread to read would be Ship Setups and then check the setups for the race ships of the area you are in. _______________________________
Traders Academy is now recruiting. |
