AC Maulus? Haven't heard of that before. How would a Maulus utilize its most effective bonuses (targeting range damps) at AC range?

Of course you don't have to take advantage of a ship's bonuses. But why wouldn't you? Especially when damps are f'ing amazing now, and even better when bonused. And why use 280s when you can fit T2 lasers with Scorch for tracking that is twice as good and still cap stable? Either way I don't see how a Maulus without damps would qualify as "underrated". Seems kinda meh fitted as you're suggesting.

A frigate that pretty much everyone will engage without thinking twice.
Not sure what gave you the impression that I'm not calm. I was just having trouble following your argument and asking for clarification. Some people might call it a conversation.
