i can no longer view the "my character" page in the eve insider submenu, it redirects me to the first "player news center". Any idea whats wrong ?

I've got that problem too. I posted about it last night; got 50ish reads but no replies.
It used to happen to me before, I could access the Character page from any PC except the one where I have EVE installed.
It's really annoying, any help on this from anyone (player, mod, or dev) would be really appreciated.
EDIT:- AND I've just noticed my character portrait isn't showing up on my posts!

CCP don't want you to see your characters picture in the browser because RMR ****** up the rendering code so the two images will look differently. If you have nothing to compare with you cannot complain.
[Just kidding, but there IS a bug in RMR character rendering making my alt look like a dork]

Yeh, I thought so. But then I've always liked the shaven headed look on chicks.
Back on topic, there's another thread about this situation today so it seems like a fairly common thing. Hopefully CCP will get it sorted out soon, but they're probably a bit busy sorting out the patch bugs.

I've been able t get my My character page opened today like 15 minutes after filing bug report... probably coincidence but i'm a happy camper

I can get to the online character sheet now 100% of the time by doing the following:
1. Log out of the site
2. Click on Bug Reporting and sign in
3. Don't submit a bug report, instead just click on My Character. Voila...the character sheet appears.
It's a pain in the bum having to access it that way every time, but at least it's something. Every other route still takes me to the World News page. Character portriat still isn't showing though...

This worked like a charm. Going to "My Character" http://myeve.eve-online.com/character/skilltree.asp from the left menu here on the site was redirecting me to the player news page at http://myeve.eve-online.com/news.asp every single time since the latest patch day.
However, going to "Ask A Question" in the left menu and then clicking on "My Character", I was able to access the correct page. Now I can access "My Character" every time without issue.

Tryed everything mentioned above with no joy.  I have filed a bug report and emailed them twice but it seems the devs are apparently still looking into it.
